  “Extremely rude bar staff, threatening to headbutt customers and also overcharging as they feel to and being aggressive when confronted about it. Charged us £30 for three single shots of vodka… they’re £8 each. Bought plain cranberry for £2 then was told its £5 20 minutes later. My partner then ordered three tequila roses and a magnum and was charged £40. The server the claimed he didnt pay at all because the transaction wasnt showing up on their phone (they dont use card readers for some reason) i tried to point on the transaction which was the same amount and done at the same time he payed however this was listed as 2 double Courvoisier??? She then refused to refund the amount back and only would give us shots to make up for this. Almost missed the count down and then was kicked out later for asking a bartender not to raise her voice at me who then physically threatened me? Absolutely ridiculous. Asked for the manager multiple times throughout the night after being ripped off and was told “theyre not present”. My sister returned to collect her coat and i asked a secuirity member to check on her as it had been a while and we werent allowed in the club who was extremely ignorant and unhelpful claiming “its not my job” “i cant move from here” i asked him to radio someone to check as he has an earpiece he then said no. As if safeguarding customers isnt literally apart of their job description. Do not come here unless you want to argue with teenagers on their first day of bartending or robbed of your money.”

  “I have never been treated so rudely by staff in a bar. The manager was a joke, and unreasonable when I tried to appeal the bouncers decision to not let my friend in for wearing ‘flip flops’ which were in fact smart Black and sparkly as she cannot wear heels due to a back problem. I am appalled at the other comments from other people’s experiences of the rude and prejudiced staff in this awful place.”

  “Great atmosphere, music and a mixed crowd. Its an all ages bar. The door staff and bar staff were very friendly. The toilets were lovely , however on the lower ground floor.a great place for a night out, would definitely recommend it.”

  “Great bar with a excellent atmosphere especially when they have the live band playing! Staff are friendly and accommodating, Drinks are reasonably priced with a large selection of spirits, beer and bottled beer and cider. Cockerill bar is upstairs. Great place to go on your night out!”
