About Café Espresso

Café Espresso is a coffee shop on The Avenue in Leeds, open for walk-ins Monday to Saturday during the day and closed Sundays. The family owned kitchen makes Greek chicken gyros, a nod to the owners' own background, alongside flat whites, espresso, and a homemade Biscoff cheesecake. Beans on toast is also available, with options such as spam and mushrooms. The covered outdoor seating area lets customers choose between sitting outside or in, and the step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in without difficulty. Dogs are welcome throughout, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. The room itself is kept free of loud music, so conversation carries easily between tables. No reservations are taken.

Customer Review Summary

The caveat is service. One reviewer says cold food was met with "That's how it is" from the woman owner, who then told them to take their money and leave and threw it back. Another describes a collection told to wait and a beans on toast with spam and mushrooms that arrived with untoasted, bite-sized cut bread and was inedible.
