About Home Farm View
Home Farm View is a pub on Dean Park Way in Kirkcaldy, with a soft play area indoors and an external play area outside, so families have dedicated space for children during a visit. The kitchen works around chargrilled dishes, and the menu also carries a Sunday roast and a mixed grill platter, with cheesecake as a pudding. Orders are placed at the bar or through an app. The pub opens daily, and tables can be booked. Larger parties are seated by pushing tables together, and a function room is set aside for gatherings. Coaches are accepted for group visits.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the Sunday roast and the staff, with several calling the service friendly, and one describing a server who pulled together a big table for a party of ten including six kids. The play area, outdoor space and a cheesecake and coffee also draw praise, and one reviewer rated the meats tender and well cooked. Slow food is the recurring complaint. One group waited over two hours for mains on Mother's Day and refused payment, another reports 45 minutes, and a third describes more than half an hour between starters and mains. Reviewers also describe cold roasts, burnt garlic bread, a chewy hunters chicken, fajitas with frozen chicken pieces, and a Yorkshire pudding that would not break when banged on the table. One reviewer says the kids' play area was closed despite being told it was open, and another notes sticky tables. A few mention menu items running out. One server apologised after missing a main off the order, and the table was given free drinks and desserts and not charged for the garlic bread and steak.

“Food was good but not exceptional had no real complaints. Front of house staff were lovely, attentive without being constantly in your face. Atmosphere was a bit flat although it wasn't very busy when we were in.”

“Disappointing visit. We called ahead and were told the kids' play area was open, which is the only reason we went. we drove out specifically for that, and it was closed when we arrived. The food itself was a letdown too, and took 45 minutes to arrive. On top of the wait, the meat had an overwhelming burnt taste, and portions were very small — the "adult" and "child" meals looked almost identical, with only a slightly bigger plate to tell them apart. Service is all order-at-the-bar or via an app, so don't expect any table service. The table itself was also sticky and hadn't been cleaned properly. Overall a disappointing experience on every front — food, service, and cleanliness and especially frustrating to be told the play area was open when it wasn't.”

“We’ve eaten here before and always been satisfied, hence choosing it for Grandsons 10th birthday! Service is always slow, but today! Was the worse! Starters arrived fairly quickly, but once those dishes were away! There was over a half hour wait for mains! The fillet steak was good, but the steak knife barely cut through the meat! Chicken shredders as expected! But the fajitas a devasting disappointment! It was frozen pieces of chicken! The kind of cheap meat I wouldn’t serve to my dog! Honestly we should have returned it to the kitchen! But didn’t want to make a fuss for the birthday boy! But I for sure will never be back! Disgusting!”

“Really nice visit to Farm View in Kirkcaldy. The food was good and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. The outdoor area is a great feature, especially in good weather, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The only issue was cleanliness, particularly around the outside tables, which could be improved. With a bit more attention there, it would easily be a 5-star experience. Overall, a strong 4-star place I’d return to.”

“From the minute we walked in, Suzy made us feel genuinely welcome. We arrived as a crew of 10 (including 6 kids!) and without hesitation she happily pulled together a big table for us, no stress, just a smile. She was absolutely on the ball all evening , drinks never empty, orders were all correct, and everything was great. She was great with the kids and had such a great sense of humour. Honestly, it felt less like being served in a Pub and more like being looked after by a friend. If I could give her 11/10, I would she truly made our evening fantastic!”
