Customer Review Summary
Friendly, efficient staff and generous lunch portions draw most of the praise here, with several diners citing the steak pie as a standout and its tender beef, alongside the fudge cheesecake recommended for anyone dining in. Breakfast gets a mention too, with a "wee breakfast" deal and nice coffee. The venue is repeatedly used for functions and funeral receptions, with reviewers describing staff as compassionate and the buffets, including gluten-free options, as very good. Entertainment nights are also singled out, with one reviewer calling a performer's show fantastic and another praising a Sunday afternoon set. One reviewer, however, describes a private function where a kitchen staff member filling in as DJ spent much of the night drinking, playing the fruit machine, and behaving in a way the reviewer found creepy toward guests, and felt the manager should assign DJ duties elsewhere. Several note they arrived without a booking and were still seated, though staff advised booking ahead given how busy it gets.

“Was at a private function and it was the cook from the kitchen that’s was doing the music , using Spotify I may add he was supposed to be a DJ , he spent most of the night drinking alcohol and playing the fruit machine , he was also being creepy towards some of the guests at the function I was at Avoid the place , total disgrace, the buffet was good as it was the parents of who’s party it was that done the food , if it wasn’t for the Cook/DJ it would be a lot different I think the manager needs to get someone else to do the DJing rather than using the cook”
