Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the live bands on Saturday evenings, which several describe as free and excellent, with one saying they would even pay a small entrance fee to keep them coming. Close behind is the friendly bar staff and owner, and the welcoming atmosphere that one football-watching visitor from out of town also mentions. Others describe a basic, not fancy pub with pool, darts and sport on the television, clean and tidy, with three draught beers, no real ale and no food. A Thursday night was described as quiet. The caveat is the service, which two reviewers rate at one star. One calls the barmaid miserable and the hospitality a joke, and another says a man behind the bar poured pints badly and was in the wrong job. One reviewer adds that the pub looks closed from the outside and suggests trying the door.
