About Pinkertons
Pinkertons is a pub on Pinkerton Road in Glenrothes, with a large free car park outside and a carpeted dining area reached by a few steps. The kitchen runs a bar lunch menu during the day and shifts into breakfast mode on Saturdays from 10am, when guests build their own plates from a buffet-style, help-yourself setup priced per item, with an unlimited plate option for those who want to keep going. Evenings settle into the pub side of the room, and Saturday karaoke nights draw a regular crowd to the bar. Family lunches sit alongside the usual drinks service, and the layout makes the pub work as easily for a midweek meal as for a weekend session.

Customer Review Summary
Most regulars come back to Pinkertons for the food, with bar lunches and the Saturday breakfast both drawing repeat visits and praised for being well-priced. The honeycomb cheesecake is singled out by one family lunch reviewer as a standout, while long-standing bar-lunch customers describe the kitchen as reliably good and the service as fast. Close behind is the pub's social draw: the welcoming atmosphere, friendly servers, and Saturday karaoke keep it busy for groups. Drink quality also gets a nod from visitors who settled in for a beer in the evening. One reviewer notes the dining area can be a bit dark and warns about the carpeted steps. Staff friendliness comes up again and again as the reason people return, and several mention good value across food, drinks, and breakfast. A recurring suggestion from one reviewer is to wish for an additional pool table.

“We recently had breakfast here and were impressed. The food was set out like a buffet where you helped yourself. The pricing on the menu varied depending on how much items you had on your plate. I opted for the unlimited plate which at £10 was a bargain. The dining area was nicely set out, however it was a bit dark so look out for the carpeted steps which did catch out a couple of people. The servers were polite and friendly. Breakfast started at 10am on Saturday. There is a large free carpark outside.”
