  “Hot Tava has always been one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Kenilworth. I have previously given it 5 stars and recommended it to many of my friends because the food has always been very good. However, unfortunately, I am giving 1 star on this occasion due to my recent experience, particularly with the staff’s attitude towards customer feedback. I noticed some concerns regarding hygiene. Staff members appeared to come back and serve food without washing their hands after smoking or after wiping sweat from their bodies. This was quite concerning, especially when handling and serving food. The food itself was very good as usual, but the curry I received contained far too many bones, with very little balance between the meat and curry. I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback constructively and addresses these issues. I have always liked Hot Tava and would be happy to see these concerns taken care of during my next visit.”

  “It is rare to have a perfect combination of incredibly good food and outstanding service but Hot Tava Grill and Sizzler manages to achieve both thanks to its charismatic manager/owner and fantastic staff. The manager/owner is what hospitality needs right now: someone who directs his staff kindly but is right there on the floor serving and talking to customers whilst ensuring that service flows during what was a packed and very busy evening service. I called to say we were running late and the manager/owner advised that was perfect since they had a very busy night. We ended up arriving pretty early due to lack of traffic and whilst they didn’t have our table ready, the manager again was very courteous and found us space in a seated area and made sure we were comfortable. It was only a few minutes before we had our table. Again, both the manager and staff were careful to manage the experience so asked that we ordered one item at a time. Poppadoms first, once finished we ordered the starters and then finally the main. This meant that the restaurant could manage a very busy night but also that we got served piping hot and delicious food without feeling we were being rushed. And boy was the food was worth the wait! Thin, freshly made and perfectly crisp poppadoms. None of the stale overly greasy versions some other restaurants serve. I ordered the Punjabi samosas. They were delicious: crispy flaky pastry, spicy potatoes and veg filling, with what I think was fresh coriander to truly lift them. Next was the largest portion of mixed grill I have seen (there is an even bigger size..) Tender chicken, juicy lamb chops and so much more. Thanks to the wonderful staff and manager it was a truly memorable night!”

  “Tuesday night l was watching YouTube and came across a review about a Punjabi Restaurant in Kenilworth called Hot Tava. Being very curious my wife and I decided to drive to Kenilworth and give it a try . On arrival we were transported to a Punjabi style eatery with an amazing interior of lights and flowers that has to be seen to be believed. We ordered papadum‘s with onion salad, Lamb Madras, Chicken Dhansak, boiled rice, Plain Naan and a Garlic Naan. My Lamb Madras was absolutely amazing and the Garlic Naan was the best I’ve ever had as was my wife’s Dhansak Two pints of Cobra and very friendly service made this a lovely midweek treat and to top it off when the bill came all main course’s on ( Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday ) our HALF PRICE. What a bargain, we paid the bill and booked up next week for ten people. Please support and try their fabulous food.”
