About Mizu Noodle Bar

Customer Review Summary
Duck noodles draw the most praise at Mizu, with reviewers singling out the roast duck noodle with Kansui noodle as the best they have had, and one long-time regular calling the duck more tasty than the pork noodles. Close behind are pad Thai, praised for its sweet and savoury balance and decent portion, and satay chicken rice. Reviewers also mention crispy chicken tenders, fresh dim sum, Singapore vermicelli generously portioned with prawns, and Korean fried chicken with a good sauce. Service is described as quick and friendly, and several say it suits work lunches. Complaints are small but specific. One reviewer found the Vietnamese spring rolls had dipped in quality, another objected to a small bowl of Thai crackers costing £5, and one was disappointed by early orders that were not as expected before a third visit won them over. Sharing bench tables with strangers is noted as the one concern by a diner who otherwise enjoyed the meal. One reviewer notes there is no draught beer or cider, but the food arrived quickly enough that little was spent on drinks.

“Was very pleasantly surprised. Food was quick and delicious. Staff friendly and accommodating. No draught beer or cider but food is so quick that we didn't need to spend lots on drink. We didn't try a massive selection of the menu but what we had was superb.”

“I love noodles, especially asian noodles. I was a bit disappointed the first time I went there as my order wasn’t as I expected. The second time, I ordered a different one and still not as expected. The third time made a difference which made me go back almost every week for my lunch when working in the office. My favourite noodles restaurant so far in the “UK”. The staff are also friendly.”

“Very high quality food. Noodle bar experience rather than a restaurant, you can be sharing tables next to people on the bench set up. Pricing for the quality main meals is okay but charging £5 for a small bowl of about 9 thai Crackers (large ones) is nothing short of ridiculous, not worth it and frankly unnecessary...they taste the same as any other Thai Crackers, which sometimes come free with a main meal.”

“Authentic Asian food, very tasty, I frequented this place when I was staying in Ipswich.”

“Had Singapore vermicelli and Korean fried chicken and Vietnamese spring rolls and edamame beans 1) The fried chicken was freshly fried and the accompanying sauce was good. 2) noodle was generously portioned with prawns and meats etc 3) Vietnamese spring roll - I’ve had this before and felt that the quality has dipped a little; it is still nice but not what I remembered it as”
