Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the parathas, with the aloo paratha and mooli paratha described as flavorful and served piping hot with butter. The desi saag is called rich and like home-cooked Punjabi food, and the Punjabi chai and lamb curry with roti also earn praise. Several describe the cooking as homemade and family run, with welcoming staff and a owner who chats with customers. Slow service is the recurring complaint. One reviewer waited around 40 minutes for breakfast, another reports a similar delay with a rude exchange at the till, and a third found the service quite slow. Specific letdowns include cold Punjabi chai, dry mushrooms in an English breakfast, and a mango lassi with virtually no mango. One reviewer found the paratha ordinary for its price. Another notes that street parking is limited and fees start in the morning. Even so, one diner recalls the woman at the till apologising for serving food almost 40 minutes late.

“For the price (£6.00–£6.50), the paratha was nothing special and didn't offer particularly good value. The service was quite slow, which made the experience less enjoyable. The mango lassi was also disappointing, it had virtually no mango …”

“Paratha Junction serves up a delicious blend of Indian and English breakfast dishes, featuring favorites like fresh parathas and omelets. The food is usually satisfying and fairly priced, with reports of good hygiene. That said, reviews are a bit of a mixed bag—some folks rave about the taste and vibe, while others point out slow service and varying customer experiences. All in all, it’s a solid place to grab a hearty, laid-back meal.”

“Me and my friend visited Paratha Junction from Kent. We had heard good things about the Parathas. The staff are welcoming, friendly and polite . The owner makes a real effort to chat with customers. We ordered one aloo paratha and one …”

“I visited Paratha Junction for breakfast with my children, friends, and their kids. Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant experience, and I won’t be returning. To start with, the restaurant is not wheelchair or buggy friendly, which made things difficult for families with young children. Parking was another issue — street parking is very limited, and unless you’re very lucky, you’ll need to spend time struggling to find a space. We waited around 40 minutes for our food. I understand the restaurant was very busy; however, we had been seated for a long time with children who were waiting patiently. Some communication, reassurance, or even a simple apology would have gone a long way. When I approached the lady at the till to ask about our order, instead of being polite or understanding, she became argumentative and dismissive, repeatedly stating, “You can see it’s busy.” Her voice became loud, which made the situation uncomfortable, with other customers looking on. There was no apology, no patience, and no appreciation for the long wait. We also ordered Punjabi chai, expecting it to be served properly and hot. Unfortunately, the tea was cold and not made to the standard expected, which meant we couldn’t enjoy it at all. This was very disappointing, especially as chai was something we were really looking forward to with our breakfast. However, good food alone does not make up for poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and basic courtesy. This was our first visit, and due to the poor service, accessibility issues, parking difficulties, and disappointing experience overall, it was not a good visit. Sadly, we will not be returning and would not recommend this place, especially to families.”

“We went to Paratha Junction for breakfast, and despite it being very busy, the experience was wonderful. At first, there was only one lady managing the place on her own, and she truly deserves special appreciation. She handled the crowd …”
