Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise generous portions of Italian cooking, naming a meat calzone packed with filling, a rigatoni with mushrooms and the tagliatelle pollo funghi, with a Full English breakfast also singled out. Close behind are the friendly, welcoming staff, with one family describing waiters who catered to their dietary needs, and a lively, cosy atmosphere. Several call the value reasonable, and gelato, a cannoli and strawberry ice cream with a sharp note appear among the desserts. The main dissent comes from one diner who found the food bland, with little seasoning and flavours that tasted of cream and butter and not much else, though the chicken was moist. That reviewer also felt rushed over dessert because another booking was waiting for the table. Another mentions a fly at the table, and one notes some drinks were unavailable, with well communicated substitutions. One suggests booking ahead because it gets busy, and one left with leftovers to take home.

“First time here with a friend. Food was lovely although we kept getting attacked by a fly ugh. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Plenty to eat with good Italian food choices. Will be back. Thank you”

“A real gem! We were looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere and that is exactly what we got. The food was delicious, service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. Very reasonably priced too! The perfect end to our weekend. Thank you!”

“I came here on Saturday night and I definitely have mixed thoughts. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and the place was buzzing which was a lovely thing to see. Drinks orders were taken promptly too so that was awesome. Overall food wise, I just found it a little underwhelming. I'd say the food was ok. Nothing was seasoned (or there was very little) and that just made things bland. I found myself picking up the salt and pepper way more than what I would have liked. As well as this, I found the flavours lacked depth (you could taste cream and butter, but not a lot more) the cooking of the food though was lovely (chicken was very much moist etc). Dessert was lovely and the strawberry ice cream had a little sharp note which I wasn't expecting but very much enjoyed. Service was warm and presented with a smile, but we did wait a little while to order our dessert due to how busy the place was. There was one instance too where because of another booking waiting on our table, we felt kinda rushed to finish our dessert. Now I completely understand why it happened as it's an hour and a half booking slot and tables will be needed again, but it's not nice to feel like you're wanted out so someone else can dine. My custom is surely as important as theirs. Overall, if you haven't been here before, I'd try it to see if it suits your taste, but I don't know if I'd return.”

“I sat outside and had dessert before my tea (gelato and a canoli) followed by a delicious rigatoni! I asked for mushrooms and the flavours of the dish was incredible The staff were really friendly and chatty and the overall atmosphere is a lovely place to spend with friends and family and date nights!”

“Great food and great service. Some drinks were unavailable but there were substitutions that made sense, no issues and well communicated. Lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to visit again for lunch and cocktails”
