Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mostly for the food, singling out generous portions and tender meat, with hot dishes that arrive piping hot. Named favourites include the chicken sagwala madras, chicken chaat, lamb bhuna, mixed pasanda, mix meat tandoori and fish masala, and one diner praises a Tuesday special with a poppadom and pickle tray. Several describe the staff as friendly, welcoming and attentive, and a few call the atmosphere lovely, though one found it light with tables very close together and noted having to bring their own alcohol. Service is the recurring complaint on busy nights. One reviewer waited an hour on New Year's Eve without an order taken or a drink offered while later bookings were seated, and describes the main waiter shouting at staff. Another waited about 20 minutes for a menu, asked three times for the bill, and found it had been given to another table that paid and left. One also found the bhuna watery. Even those reviewers called the food hot and nice, and one left cash on the table to catch a bus.

“Called for the first time tonight on a recommendation. Opted for Tuesday special @ £14.95 Poppadom & Pickle Tray Good range of starters Good range of the basic curries etc Pilau Rice I opted for Chicken Chaat then Chicken Sagwala Madras. Both were very very good, great portion sizes and really tender breast meat and plenty of it. Couldnt fault it at all Would highly recommend and will certainly be back.”

“Came on new year eve and as always was it was busy. After 1hr we still never had our order taken or asked for a drink, yet people walking in with there tables booked much later turning up early was getting seated and delt with. Once a regular had a word with a member of staff things improved but should it really have to come to this. Constantly people walking in gor the takeaways when they can't cope with what's going on in the shop. It's just a organised chaos with the main waiter shouting at the staff and so rude when taking orders . We gave it a second chance after the last time was exactly the same so unfortunately won't be going back. The food was nice only complaints was the bhuna was very watery, all food hot and nice.”
