About Mowgli Street Food Beverley
Mowgli Street Food Beverley is an Indian restaurant at 3 N Bar Within in Beverley, with seats styled as rope swings alongside booths under fairy lights. The menu runs on smaller-sized portions, so tables order several dishes to share, and a sharing menu for two is available. Mother Butter Chicken and Goan fish curry sit among the curries, while yoghurt chat bombs come as one of the smaller plates. The restaurant is open daily, and dogs are welcome. For birthday celebrations, the team provides a handwritten birthday card.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the sharing menu, with the sticky wings, Mother Butter Chicken and Goan fish curry among the dishes named. Close behind are the desserts: the chocolate brownie, which one reviewer calls the best they have encountered, and a brownie with coconut ice cream that met gluten free and dairy free needs. Treacle Tamarind Fries, Gulab Jamun, yoghurt chaat bombs and a salted caramel ice cream cone also get mentions. Many describe a warm welcome and attentive table service, including a handwritten birthday card and a remade-to-taste order of chicken keema and lamb kept not too hot. The decor, fairy lights and booths draw praise. Complaints are specific. One couple found the rope swing seats narrow and uncomfortable, and were abruptly told no regular table and chairs were available. Another found a couple of the Valentine's menu curries watery, more like stews, and a third struggled with the small print on the menus. One reviewer brought leftovers home, and a diner who came with their dog says the dog enjoyed it too.

“A Tuesday lunchtime visit, so fairly quiet, but that didn’t stop us enjoying the dining experience. Between us, we had the Goan fish curry and the Mother Butter Chicken with sides including Treacle Tamarind Fries, Basmati rice and Roti breads - finishing off with Gulab Jamun and the best chocolate brownie I have ever encountered! Delicious from start to finish! We will definitely be going back.”

Thanks for making my wife's birthday and our anniversary meal so special. Warren & Sindy xx”

The service was outstanding the food was spectacular especially the sticky wings and the birthday treat of the Brownie and coconut ice cream - which met my dietary requirements of both gluten free and dairy free - absolutely superb !!! Definitely will be a returning customer. Thank you Angie & Summer it was like home from home so welcoming”

“Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices. The simple dishes of a Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. These dishes convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.”
