  “Last night we held a party for 22 people and I have to say it was magnificent x the food all came together and was hot and.beautifully cooked x there was nothing too much trouble for the staff they were so accommodating x this is definitely a recommendation of the highest x looking forward to going again x thank you 💕”

  “Went for ladies lunch today, had table booked for 12.30 nothing in the book at that time they'd put it down for 4.30 instead. But managed to seat us brilliant. 3 of us ordered the fish finger sandwich and 1 ordered chicken and pesto wrap. Well let's just say the fish fingers was like fish mush in breadcrumbs and discoloured and the chicken was soo dry. I've never know to have a bad meal here all the time we've been but we showed the barmaid and she said they've been using these fish fingers for years but I know they haven't you use to get proper fish fingers in batter and they was lovely. We won't be wasting our money by coming back here again, we'll be going elsewhere for proper food.”

  “I visited yesterday and decided to try the Village Burger. I've eaten here several times before and have generally had mixed experiences depending on what I've ordered, so I was looking forward to giving one of the signature burgers a try. The Village Burger consisted of two beef patties, mushroom and Brie. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. The biggest disappointment was the beef patties themselves. Rather than tasting and looking like handmade burgers, they appeared heavily processed, very flat, and somewhat reminiscent of the burgers served in school dinners years ago. Visually, this immediately set a negative impression, and the texture didn't really change that perception. When ordering a premium burger, I was expecting something that felt more like a traditional beef burger rather than a processed patty. The patties were also noticeably larger than the bun, which made the burger awkward to eat and threw the proportions out of balance. The mushroom and Brie combination had potential, but in practice it didn't work particularly well. Mushrooms naturally retain a lot of moisture, and when combined with the melted Brie, the filling became quite wet and extremely hot. As a result, much of the cheese simply squeezed out of the sides of the burger, making it messy and difficult to enjoy. Overall, the burger was acceptable, but it fell well short of what I was expecting. To be fair, I have had some enjoyable meals here in the past, which is why this review is specific to this particular dish rather than the restaurant as a whole. However, based on this experience, I personally wouldn't order the Village Burger again.”

  “We booked a table for 19.30. Arrived at 19.00. Confusion with booking, After being sorted ,ask to have a drink in the bar. Told sorry can you go to your table, as kitchen closes at 19.30 . Ordered food then told will be 40 mins. When servicing we felt rushed . Was informed they were closing at 21.30. Part way through the meal ask to order any sweet. After we finish the meal was told to finish owner drink in the bar. Very disappointed with service. We complained to the manager the next day . Told we should of booked earlier. We were on cc.tv and we bar. . Will stronger advise any one to take custom to a restaurant who deserves your trade”

  “Mushroom stroganoff absolutely awful. Little to no sauce, grey and bland. Waitress offered more sauce but let’s be fair it would not have done anything to improve the meal.”

  “I was really disappointed with our experience. The omelette itself was fine, but the bacon was not nice at all — it had a slightly off taste that made it unpleasant to eat. Unfortunately, this completely put my kids off the meal. When we raised the issue, the response from staff was even more disappointing. We were made to feel like we weren’t being truthful, which is unacceptable when simply raising a genuine concern. While more food was offered, by that point the kids were already fed up and didn’t want to eat anything else, especially after tasting the bacon. A replacement meal doesn’t really solve the problem when the experience has already been spoiled. No refund or meaningful resolution was offered, and the overall service felt dismissive rather than helpful. Sadly, based on this experience, I wouldn’t return.”

  “It is a small venue, I visit once a week, by far my favourite place to eat on kingswood. I can not fault the lunch time menu. I would recommend the afternoon tea, it is huge (booking required). The staff there are the same everytime I go in and they are always so friendly and hospitable. Also you get a nice biscuit with your hot drink, I love that.”

  “Updated Review (Second Visit) This was my second visit to Village Green, and my first Christmas Eve with my Aunt, Uncle, and Grandma in two years. The food and service were spot on couldn’t have asked for better. Simple night, good company, great food. 👏 First Visit (Good Friday) Visited Village Green in Kingswood Village for Good Friday, and it was an absolutely lovely experience. The area itself is charming, and the service was impeccable. The Fish and Chips special was a standout crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish, and the curry sauce added a rich, flavorful touch. Huge compliments to the team for accommodating my aunt’s allergies by cooking her fish separately thoughtful service like that makes all the difference! Only small thing: the pudding had raspberries on top, which I personally would prefer without. I’m sure next time they’d happily adjust it. Overall, a fantastic spot highly recommend visiting and supporting this wonderful business!”

  “Very nice food. Quite long waiting time considering we didn’t order anything too exciting but it was fairly busy. Chairs very uncomfortable but atmosphere was nice and food was great! Staff really polite and present but without hovering around which we really appreciated. Definitely will be back, trying to get a booth this time.”
