  “Went in for fish and chips and was told it would be a 25–30 minute wait. Fair enough if it’s busy and food’s being cooked fresh – but there wasn’t a single other customer in the shop at the time, which made it even more surprising. What really put me off was the rude attitude. No smile, no courtesy, just blunt and unfriendly. It’s already difficult finding parking on that busy road during the day, so you’d at least expect a basic level of customer service once you’re inside. I understand fresh food takes time, but many people are on short lunch breaks and can’t wait around. There’s no need to be rude about it. You don’t have to be a high-end place to show basic manners – a bit of politeness and a simple smile go a long way.”

  “First time customer. The place appeared clean and tidy with a few small tables inside. Probally enough for 6 people. Standard range of products: fish, chips & sundries. The staff were very polite and helpful. Average pricing, Chips and curry sauce, both nice enough. Felt the overall quality is a little lacking. Did not like the battered sausage. Would use again in area.”

  “£6.50 for a chip butty , curry sauce and mushy peas!!! Really! Had to wait 10 minutes as the chips went in fresh, they were rock hard and anaemic and inedible! Peas had no flavour and the curry sauce was very thin…. Used to come here a lot but stay clear, honestly 😞”

  “Waited 40 minutes for stale fish and chips! The lady was serving people that came after me. The chips were stale like they had been fried a day ago. The fish was overcooked - chewing rubber. Cheesy chips- majority stuck to the paper. Cheese tasted like plastic. Don't recommend!”
