“Bought fish & chips from here for myself, huge portion must be the biggest fish I've ever seen, my hubby hot fish bites, he never eats everything from a fish of however on this occasion he told me he meal was so delicious he never wanted to waste any. “Our visit to Verills has been weather dependant. For once the weather was perfect (Sat 2 May 2026) and it made for a cracking day out on our motorcycles and a 250 mile day taking in some superb roads between East Yorkshire and Hartlepool We arrived; there's lots of parking for both cars and motorcycles. There was a quite a queue for the food; everything is freshly cooked and served piping hot. The staff are lovely, very pleasant with a good sense of humour despite how busy they are We both opted for the "half lot" which was just £7 each. It was a generous portion of fish & chips. The 'normal size' portions are huge If it's a nice day .. there's plenty of seating literally next door in what is called "The Squircle" .. public toilets nearby too Verills is definitely a recommended destination if you want superb Fish & Chips”
