Customer Review Summary
Dine-in praise centers on generous, well-cooked portions, with reviewers singling out onion bhajias and a cauliflower and potato curry with vegan bread, and several describe friendly, welcoming staff and a full, satisfied finish. One regular says they have never had a bad plate of food in years of visits. Close behind is a split on service and consistency. Takeaway orders drew the sharpest complaints: pakora described as soggy, dried out or stale, tough and rubbery naan, crushed poppadoms, bland curry, and cold, overcooked chicken, plus a paneer curry with very little paneer. One reviewer found sides missing from a website order and felt the phone response was dismissive. Others describe a booked Mothers Day table that never came after a long queue, with a wheelchair user left waiting in the cold, and a meal where mains arrived before one diner's starter and drinks kept coming out wrong. One diner says a chicken chaat was called complimentary and then charged, on a handwritten bill with no item breakdown.

“Not a great experience everyone’s starters came out apart from mine then they were chucking out mains before I had even got my starter . Starter came near enough same time as main eventually . We asked for more drinks and kept coming out with the complete opposite drinks from what we had asked for so had to get them to change it 2/3 times then we ended up giving up cause it was wrong again so we just took them , also when they were lifting one of the finished plates from the table they dropped bits of rice in my coke to top it all off . If you like to eat food in a loud small atmosphere with no lights this is the place to go to , food was okay at best .”

“We were at the Delhi Darbar tonight for my sisters birthday and we all really enjoyed our food. The service is great, very friendly staff and everything was cooked to perfection. We will all be back. Cait x”

“Pakora was all dried out and the batter was falling off. Pakora sauce watery and bland. Naan breads were a weird texture, tough and rubbery. Paneer curry had a nice sauce but about 8 bits of pander at most. Jaipur was bright red and just bland and the pakora was stale. Nicest bit was the spiced onions. Not great at all for £40 and a car journey to pick it up. Never again.”

“I have been going here for years and regularly travel from paisley for a meal with my mrs. This place is a hidden gem and a last dying breed of outstanding Indian restaurant. I honestly with I could find somewhere closer but unfortunately it just doesn't exist. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent and it is very fairly priced. Cannot reccomend this place more. 10 out of 10 every single time, we have never had a bad plate of food out of this place. A 2 course meal for 2 people with a couple of soft drinks and a couple of alcoholic drinks will cost you under £65 with all the extras. Already planning our next visit.”

“We booked a table days prior for half 6 for mothers day and when we arrived there was people in front waiting took a while for someone to come ask us if we had a booking took the name and said we will get you a table as soon as we can we was still waiting at half 7 still no table we had two elderly parents with us ones in a wheelchair had to wait in a que she was having to sit in the cold and my dad had to stand with his stick, he can't stand for long and we spoke to the people in front they said they'd been waiting since 6 and that there were people in front of them that still haven't had a table and they've been waiting since half 5 it was half 7!! There was hardly any room to stand as the place was overcrowded and the que started in the restaurant and was completely backed up all the way outside. They were telling people to wait in the takeaway room but but no one could get in there as that was overcrowded too and they also had a que backed all the way out too. We have been here a few times we love the food and we've never had a problem but last night was out of order we are gutted as it was mothers day we wanted to treat my mum and my sister from my neice and it was ruined we just had to go home as my elderly parents were struggling and so was my young niece. We couldnt even go anywhere else as everywhere else was booked out because of mothers day thats why i had this booked but they didn't seem to be going by bookings or if they were they completely overbooked themselves for people to be still waiting 2hrs after their time slot!!”
