  “Wonderful first visit here. Lovely atmosphere with casual decor including lovely artwork. Ginny the waitress was so professional, friendly, and competent that she has instantly became my favourite waitress👍 The coffee here was nice, and at normal coffee shop prices. I didn't have the food but the people with me enjoyed theirs. *Update; my review is a bit rose-tinted. So to critique - where are the clean vegan options?”

  “fantastic place the food is top rate and presented lovely. I ate there all week as myself and friend were on holiday. Staff so friendly (jenny) giving us ideas where to visit. I think ive had most stuff on the menu , the baked potatoe with chicken was outstanding. Sad to leave Glasgow and my favourite food spot!”

  “10/10 would recommend. Staff friendly, prompt service, delicious food/drink. Pictured is the soup of the day, chicken & rice. Pretty sure this soup could cure depression - maybe even the common cold. Also, the place feels super local & not touristy, which I really appreciated. Maybe I’m wrong about that but either way, it’s a gem of a cafe.”

  “I’ve visited Lona Cafe a few times now and would say the experience is mixed. The full breakfast is decent and the rolls are fine, and the decor and service are both good – friendly staff and a nice enough setting. That said, I can’t help but feel many of the items are overpriced for the quality on offer. The food isn’t bad, but it doesn’t quite justify the higher prices compared to other options nearby. especially when part of the dishes taste microwaved. Every time I pass, there are either no customers or only a couple inside, which probably says something about the balance between price and quality. If the cafe improved consistency and offered better value for money, I think they’d be much busier. Right now, it’s okay for the odd visit but not somewhere I’d go regularly.”
