“the most amazing sandwiches!! tried both the chicken parm and sunshine special both are absolutely delicious! the chicken parm was juicy, cheesy and the tomato sauce with that basil was such a perfect combination! the sunshine was great too! juicy steak, fresh veggies, creamy mayo and the chimichurri so damn tasty!”

“This was a fantastic sandwich the first time round, however I was left disappointed after my second visit. I ordered the chicken parm both times and the first was perfect; thick juicy chicken and fresh mozzarella. My second visit however, I could tell straight away the chicken wasn’t great quality and there was no fresh mozzarella- just a thin slice of plastic cheese. I was so upset as that was my favourite part of the sandwich last time! I can’t fault the staff as they have been friendly and welcoming both times, it’s just a shame the consistency isn’t there.”

“Excellent sandwiches in a cool exposed brick cafe. Plenty of seating indoors and out served to you be incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Wide variety of sandwiches that have all been delicious including a French dip that comes with gravy. They also have daily sandwiches focaccia’s that rotate and is what is pictured here. The sandwiches are quite dear but they are massive and well worth the money!”

“Sandwich was massive, generous portion. However I got The One with Pear with extra Panko chicken. The taste of pear was too subtle, would be better if put more. And the whole sandwich was inclined to the dry side. The combo of pear and deep fried chicken sounds impressive but they somehow didn’t go tgt. Also, we waited for at least 15mins for our sandwiches”

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out The One with Pear sandwich, praising its balance of sweet and savory and a lime ranch sauce one diner compares to American ranch dressing, though another found the pear too subtle and the panko chicken version dry. The chicken parm comes close behind, called juicy and cheesy with tomato sauce and basil, and others name the French dip with gravy and the sunshine special with steak and chimichurri. Sandwiches are described as massive, hearty meals, with staff repeatedly called friendly and the coffee smooth. Consistency draws the main complaints: one reviewer got thin plastic-style cheese and weaker chicken on a second chicken parm visit, and another found the steak sandwich chewy with chunks too thick. Waits of 15 to 30 minutes and difficulty finding a seat come up, and one notes there are no sides. Several say the size justifies the cost, and one suggests weekdays when it is less crowded.
