About The Piper Whisky Bar
The Piper Whisky Bar is an independently run pub on Cochrane St in Glasgow, with more than 300 malts and whiskies on offer and live music every day from 7pm. Whisky is the focus of the drinks side. Flights of three come to the table with a short explanation of each, scheduled tastings are held, and a malt of the month is featured. In the kitchen, the Scottish ale pie sits alongside Scottish-themed tapas ordered as a selection of three, so food and drink can be taken together. Rounds of drinks are brought to the table. The pub is open daily, with a lounge and a bar area that overlook George Square. The lounge has been newly refurbished.

“It's such an amazing place. Every day at 7pm there is some live music, that really gives this place the amazing pub vibe. Trying whiskys here is great, you can order 3 in a pack and it has description and all. The food is amazing and its quite affordable”

“Very friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Live music every day. They have a great menu with Scottish classics and also a very nice variety of beers and whisky’s. Highly recommend visiting The Piper Bar when in Glasgow. We will for sure come back!”

“The Piper was recommended by our bus driver who said she had not heard anything but good about this place. Wow, was she right. Seated quickly by, I’m assuming, the manager who was gracious and got a couple of tables put together by the front even though they seemed busy. Traveling with my wife, 18 year old daughter and 14 year old son he inquired about drinks. My wife and I ordered a couple of pints and he looked at us with a grin and motioned to my son, “milk?” with a sheepish grin. We ordered and I have to say, the service was amazing, but the food.. I have no words. I fully intended on getting a shot of my Scotch Steak and Ale Pie to post, but it smelled so good I ate it all up without a second thought. Hands down this is the best pie I have ever had, in any country I’ve visited.”

“Cosy pub atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful, and a real treat having rounds of drinks brought to our table. Food was reasonably priced and pretty good - and nice to see something a bit different with the Scottish themed tapas.”

“This ia a great pub, but it does get busy. If you are not there for a scheduled whisky tasting, you can choose from 3 flights that they deliver to your table with a quick explanation. Much appreciated that they do this whilst quite busy. The beef lasagna and Scottish ale pie were truly delicious.”

With live entertainment on 7 days a week there'll always be something fun going on. With a wonderful range of drinks there'll be a drink to suit you too, especially if you fancy a dram as we have over 300 malts/whiskies on offer. We can provide bespoke whisky tastings too, in our lovely lounge or bar area, overlooking George Square.
