About Shilling Brewing Company
Shilling Brewing Company is a bar and microbrewery in Glasgow town centre, at 92 W George St, housed in a former bank building that kept its original features. Downstairs, the toilets sit inside the old bank vault, reached past the large vault doors. Beers are brewed on site, with a wide range on tap alongside cider, and a flight of four lets drinkers sample several before choosing a full glass. Pizza is the main food, with toppings including black pudding, chorizo and pepperoni. There is no table service, so orders are placed at the bar. Monday is quiz night.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the beers brewed on site, with several pointing to the flights and a QR code that helps them pick from the wide choice on tap, plus craft options and cider. Pizza comes close behind, and diners name salami, pepperoni, and black pudding with chorizo, while one liked the char on a spicy pineapple vegetarian pizza. One mentions a Monday 2-for-1 pizza deal and a Monday quiz night. The former bank building draws steady comment, especially the original vault doors and toilets in the old vault, though one reviewer jokes that a sign is needed to avoid wandering into the brewery's tasting room, and another warns the giant safe doors can close on the way to the toilets. One reviewer calls the beer range safe craft, with a single standout beer priced to match. The one real complaint is about sides: a diner who enjoyed the pizza found the blue cheese dip watery and the roasted garlic unappetising, and they couldn't eat either.

“Loved it! Amazing beer and pizzas! Staff were lovely. Highly recommend. A sign on the door back upstairs from the bathroom might be needed 🤣 accidentally went to the brewery’s tasting room. Other than that really loved it 🥰”

“Great craft brewery options on tap for beer and cider. Get a wee float of 4 to test out. If here for a while they do fresh pizza with choice of toppings. Had the black pudding an chorizo which hit the spot. They have a QR code to help select appropriate beers as wide choice”

“Quite a large bar/restaurant in a former bank building. We popped in for dinner early evening and a drink. Took advantage of the 2-for-1 Monday pizza deal and received four freshly cooked pizzas, which were very enjoyable. And some very good beers too. The toilets a located in the former bank vault!”

“We stopped by twice at this brewery. Excellent choice of beers and great pizza. They have a quiz night on Monday and we had great time participating. Bought some merch that I will wear proudly in Montreal.”
