Quick info
About 142B Lounge Nightclub
On St Vincent Street in Glasgow, 142B Lounge Nightclub is a bar with a 3AM license, one of the only bar-restaurants in the city to hold one, so a night out here can run well into the early hours. A DJ plays Amapiano, afrobeats and dancehall for the dance floor, and the mix also includes East African and West African songs. Themed music nights bring in DJs flown from other towns or countries. The calendar has also included a health and wellness event and African independence day celebrations. Bouncers staff the door, and entry is charged there. The venue is connected to Calabash.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the music, with DJs playing Amapiano, afrobeats, dancehall, hip hop and old school R&B, and several mention themed music nights and a full dance floor. Close behind is the staff, who reviewers say create a family environment, and one reviewer adds that the owner cares about customers and fixes problems quickly. A birthday guest singles out the coconut rice and a modern, beautifully decorated room, while another mentions the bouncers and a clean venue. Opinions on drinks split. One reviewer found them quite affordable, while another says a bottle of wine and a bottle of Prosecco were charged well above the bar menu price. Two one-star reviews describe an almost empty club at 2am with no atmosphere, where the entry fee felt like a rip off, and a karaoke night advertised at the door and online that did not exist. In that case a manager promised a refund, and the reviewer says no money ever came back.

“Food- They are connected to Calabash which has amazing food 😍 but as a club/lounge they don’t usually sell food! This place is such a vibe. The staff there create an amazing family environment and when you walk in, you instantly feel like part of the family. They play Amapiano, afrobeats, hip hop, old school R&B and waaay more. They have themed music nights and popular DJs constantly. They often fly DJs in from other towns or countries giving them a huge crowd to play for. They also host different events! There was an LGBTQIA+ Health and Wellness event that was hosted here and various African independence days will be held here in celebration. I highly recommend this place and the owner cares so much about her customers. If you ever have a problem here, that problem will get solved in 5 minutes max. You’re really well taken care of in this space.”
