Customer Review Summary

Burgers are the draw reviewers raise most, described as fantastic, fresh and good to look at. Close behind are the chicken tenders, the thick, cheesy pizza, chicken with hot honey and mac and cheese, with apple pie to finish. A large selection of beers on tap and a busy beer garden in the sun also come up, and Scotland matches are shown. One reviewer enjoyed seeing fans of both sides together before kick off. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, and one server is praised for being knowledgeable. The reservations are modest. One diner thought the bill for two sandwiches and two drinks was a bit much, though the food was decent enough. Another says service slows slightly on match days, which they call understandable. One reviewer suggests booking a table for the Monday quiz night. Dog owners are a recurring voice. One says the team brought water and treats for a puppy, and another's dog got a massive bowl of veg and water.

“All in all the food at Church on the Hill is great. We walked in without a reservation about 2pm on Saturday. Loved the Bacon Burger, Chicken with Hot Honey and the Mac & Cheese (and the apple pie) everything was delicious. Price expected for good quality and we didn't have to wait long. You can tell the staff care about service and it shows in the result. Everyone was warm & welcoming. Awesome job Church on the Hill, we're more then happy to come back.”

“Staff were very helpful and friendly. The sun is out, rare in Glasgow, so the beer garden was busy but the waiters still made sure they were helpful. Had the option to sit in, very cosy, we chose outside (rare sunshine) The burgers were fab, fresh and looked as good as they tasted. Will definitely be back. Their showing the Scotland matches so thats handy 👍”

“Lovely dog-friendly pub/restaurant - we had a very tasty meal with some drinks. The team were friendly and welcoming. It was a weekday at lunchtime we visited so it wasn’t too busy which was good - we visited with our puppy to get her used to pub/restaurant environments and she loved it. The team offered water and treats for her too which was nice. We’ll be back!”

“Haven't been in COTH for years, and it's certainly had a facelift internally. We had a lovely meal, and the service from the staff was perfect. Dog had a massive bowl of veg and water to wash it down.”
