About Heydays
Heydays is an eclectic restaurant right on Exmouth beach, and the newest venue from the team behind Swim in Lyme Regis and Rise in West Bay. The kitchen serves all-day dining, with breakfasts built on sourdough, eggs, sausage and bacon from local producers. Burgers, including the Dorset Longhorn Burger, come on buns baked fresh in a bakery downstairs, and Korean Chicken is served with Dirty Tato Tots. Gluten free and vegan options are on the menu. The bar pours craft beers, cocktails and wine, while Extract coffee comes with pastries such as almond croissant. Inside, seating runs across two levels. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along.

Customer Review Summary
Burgers draw the most praise, especially the Dorset Longhorn Burger, served on fresh buns from the bakery downstairs, with the chicken burger and smoked bacon mac and cheese also singled out. Close behind are the breakfasts of sourdough, eggs, sausage and bacon from local producers, plus the coffee and an almond croissant. Reviewers also mention sea views and a welcome for dogs. Service is the main trade-off: one diner waited long between drinks, ordering and the bill on two consecutive visits, though staff were friendly, and another was ignored, refused upstairs seating and never brought a promised menu outside. One found the Korean chicken more batter than chicken. A diner with allergies had rice swapped for fritters in a chickpea curry and left with a doggy box for a daughter's unfinished mac and cheese.

“A real high quality food and drink offer in a beautifully presented modern space with lovely views over the sea. The coffee is as good as any in Exemouth and the pastries are the very best. My highlight is the excellent breakfasts which are a real indulgence with delicious sourdough, eggs, sausage and bacon - all from local producers. This is a perfect place for a drink and a snack after a walk on the beach but works equally well for a celebration with friends and family. Definitely one of our favourite places in Exemouth.”

“Restaurant situated right on Exmouth beach ½ mile from town centre but with plenty of parking available. Menu had good options for lunch with an Asian twist. Had Plaice fillet in a butter ans chilli sauce. Very tasty. Good modern decor. Large drinks menu including cocktails. Very popular location for breakfast and lunch. 2 level seating inside and outside terrace seating also. Good friendly service. Prices as expected for Quality and location”

“We came because it's dog friendly on the beach 🏖️ at the moment, although a bit chilly outside and still have the pesky seagulls flying around. My wife had the Korean Chicken, it look enormous but more batter than chicken 🐔, and we have had it as small bite size in the past elsewhere. I had the Burger 🍔 with the Dirty Tato Tots and l love those although really a small croquet potato's the dressing is very tasty, we couldn't make the dessert. The service is spot on but it was very quiet. 3rd visit and this time was very busy and l had the Korean Chicken”
