Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the enormous portions, and the Sunday roast beef leads the specifics, described as tender, plentiful and paired with roast potatoes. Close behind are the Greek dishes: halloumi gyros, lamb shank gyros, and olives, houmous and pita as a starter. One diner praised the liver and bacon, and a classic burger came with chips the size of logs. The garlic cabbage is called a winner, and lasagne and vegetarian moussaka are called gorgeous. The owner and the waitresses draw repeated praise as friendly and accommodating, and group bookings of eight and twenty were handled at a good pace. The caveats are modest. One reviewer found the spaghetti bolognese mediocre and the chips not that great, and another felt the interior looks dated and suggested white walls, blue touches and Greek island artwork. One notes some call it expensive, while another found the value very good. One reviewer says booking in advance is needed to get the date and time wanted, and a diner who was offered more gravy with the beef left happy.

“We had olives, houmous, and pita as a starter and there was so much and it was so tasty we almost didn't have room for our greek halloumi gyros mains, which were amazing and also a large portion. Our friend had a sharer plate for one as an appy which was big enough for a main, and he had to stop and wait for his lamb shank gyros main so he could eat the lamb, and it was the best lamb he's ever had anywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, and Nick was a joy. We will be recommending them to everyone!”

“Hubby and I visited for Sunday lunch. What a delightful place with delicious food and super friendly service from Nick and the waitresses. We both enjoyed the Sunday roast, both opting for beef. The beef was tender, nicely cooked and plentiful. We were looked after well and when offered more gravy, I couldn't have been happier. We will definitely be back, but know we need to book in advance to get date and times you want. I can see why it's so popular and gets such good reviews.”

“A group of eight of us had lunch here last Saturday, and it was simply fantastic. Nick, the owner, is such a gentleman, very welcoming, cheerful, kind, and simply nothing is too much trouble, which also goes for his lovely helpers. We all really enjoyed the delicious Greek food, and the portions are enormous, so take a good appetite if you visit. Many thanks Nick, take care, and I very much look forward to a return visit.”

“Well the owners and staff are lovely. Food is good if you choose the right thing! For eg lasagne and vegetarian moussaka was absolutely gorgeous. But the spaghetti bolinase was mediocre. (Chips are not that great) Portions are huge! I would definitely go again ❤️”
