  “Recommended to us by the other couple in our party of four, go here for the best lunchtime food in a very handy and attractive City-Centre setting. Staff are attentive, and enjoyed serving us with enthusiasm. Excellence all round.”

  “I came into Botanist in something of a bad mood due to having a challenging day and left very happy. The atmosphere of the restaurant was absolutely wonderful, with live music, with an upbeat vibe. Service was both quick, friendly, and attentive - I especially want to mention my server Lily who ensured our table was brilliantly looked after. Food was tasty and very filling! The Halloumi hanging kebab left me feeling very sated, and tasted delicious. The camembert baked into a sourdough loaf was clever, and the chutney it came with was to die for! 10/10; I really recommend coming here for dinner!!”

  “This was a good food experience, it was really busy as well. The hanging kabab was a cool novelty and all the food was an easy swallow. The deserts were pleasantly presented and suitably devoured. Top marks to the staff who were attentive and on the ball.”

  “We had a lovely meal here yesterday lunchtime, the belly pork & the beef were excellent roast meals, I had a halloumi panko kebab with fried & a sweet chilli & ginger sauce, which was excellent. The service was good, the staff friendly & helpful, our only complaint was that the restaurant was a little on the chilly side, but otherwise an excellent lunch.”

  “We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Botanist Exeter, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service truly made the evening feel extra special. A huge thank you to Eloise, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. Her warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine kindness were exceptional. She had a natural way of making us feel valued without being overbearing—just perfect. It was clear she loves what she does, and it absolutely showed in the way she looked after us. Eloise truly made our evening, and she absolutely deserves her tip—make sure it gets to her! We’ve discovered there is another Botanist restaurant in our local area, which we will definitely be visiting. We highly recommend The Botanist Exeter for any special occasion—or simply a wonderful night out.”

  “It was dinner for my friend's birthday here, and the Botanist was a really good place to have it. Everyone there was warm and kind. I brought a cake, and they put it on a nice platter when it was time for it. The food was tasty, and the portions were generous. It was also pleasing aesthetically when it was served, and the ambience was great. The manager on the day we went allowed the celebrant to have a free dessert. We found that very kind and thoughtful. One of the ladies on the team also helped us take pictures. We felt very welcome at the place.”
