Customer Review Summary
Toast is the most common draw, with reviewers naming avocado toast (topped with bacon and chili flakes in one account, called huge and flavorful in another), butternut squash toast, pumpkin and walnut toast, and cheese and tomato toast. Close behind are the drinks, from a smooth, velvety flat white and a cortado to a matcha latte, a chai latte and a turmeric latte that one reviewer calls unique. Scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon and a berry bowl also earn praise, and several describe generous portions, a cozy, welcoming room and friendly staff. One reviewer notes gluten free and dairy free adaptations on some dishes. Two complaints surface. One reviewer found the noise of staff cleaning cups and dishes too loud for conversation or reading, and another called portions small for the cost, citing a beetroot latte and a small plate of eggs. In one account, staff dished an order onto separate plates after a table said they were sharing.

“Needed a place to rest my legs after a long walk and came across Fortuna Cafe. Decided to stop for a coffee and a short break. It has the feel of an independent cafe, which I always prefer when cafe hopping. The interior is pleasant and quiet, a comfortable spot to sit and unwind. I was warmly greeted by the friendly barista and coffee was decent. Glad I stopped by, it was a good place to take a break.”

“Cute, lively spot! Cortado was good, and Berry Bowl was flavorful and filling. Different day - avocado toast is huge and flavorful, and the iced matcha latte refreshing.”

“This cute cafe was across the street from my hotel and was the perfect place to pop in for a quick bite and coffee. The service was great and the food was even better. A perfect spot to get fresh food and caffeine to get your day started.”

“Food was good, but portion sizes are quite small, especially for the prize. Beetroot latte (£5.2) seems pricey and £4.2 for a small plate of eggs as well.”

“Would 100% recommend this cafe, the food was brilliant and great for those with dietary requirements. They have gluten free and dairy free adaptations on some of their menu items! The staff were friendly and helpful even dishing up one of our orders on separate plates when we said we would be sharing a dish.”
