Customer Review Summary
Salt and chilli chips are the dish reviewers raise most, and they split on it. One calls them excellent and very crispy when collected fresh and eaten within minutes, though that reviewer suspects they would go soggy steaming in a delivery box. Another found them very greasy, and a third received a salt and pepper chilli box with sugar caked into the salt and no chilli. Praise elsewhere goes to the beef fried rice, beef in black bean sauce, king prawn in Blackburn sauce, grilled chicken Peking style, and the chicken sweetcorn and crabmeat soups, with good size portions and a lovely owner also mentioned. Long-time customers say the food declined after new owners took over, citing egg fried rice with no egg that was stodgy, overcooked prawn toast, and chilli and honey chicken that was not crispy with a watery sauce. Delivery draws the sharpest complaints, including an order that took hours with no apology despite repeated calls. In another case, a customer chasing an order was told it had been lost and not yet cooked, and cancelled it.

“I placed an order through Uber Eats and I’m definitely not ordering from there again. I ordered a salt and pepper chilli munchie box and was absolutely horrified. What were they thinking? The salt was mixed with sugar and absolutely caked on. It wasn’t spicy and there was no chilli. I couldn’t even request a refund. It was absolutely disgraceful and far too much money wasted. If this is how it’s being delivered to people then it’s a disgrace.”

“Useless. Ordered placed 6.30, asked for delivery for 7.30 - no problem say the shop. 7.30 passes, then 8.00....10 past i called - where's the order? After 2 minutes flapping about, the response, you order got lost - we've not started cooking it yet - we can have it to you in half an hour - don't bother. Order cancelled. Will never use this takeaway again. How they're in business can only be down to collections.”

“Absolutely unacceptable service. My order took just over 2hrs 30 minutes to arrive. When we (repeatedly) called for updates, there was no apology, explanation, or compensation offered. Waiting this long for food is ridiculous, and the complete lack of customer care means this takeaway should be avoided.”
