About Bellfield Brewery - Taproom & Beer Garden
Bellfield Brewery - Taproom & Beer Garden is a brewery bar in Edinburgh, at 46 Stanley Pl, that brews its own gluten-free beers. The whole menu is gluten free too, so anyone avoiding gluten can order from every section. A few guest drinks sit alongside the house beers. A guest kitchen from a burger place appears on some visits and brings the Oklahoma Burger, and the food has also included Oktoberfest-based dishes. A quiz night is part of the schedule. The taproom opens Wednesday to Sunday, and Friday and Saturday run to midnight for late-night drinking.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the gluten free beer. A coeliac diner describes finally relaxing because the beer is gluten free and no one can tell, and another notes that many of the beers are gluten free. Several praise the brewery's own range, with one trying about half the menu over a couple of visits and loving every beer. Food draws steady mentions too, including the fish and fries, a dessert brownie, a chicken sandwich and an Oktoberfest style menu. Staff are called friendly and good at handling gluten free requests, and a quiz night and the beer garden add to the lively vibe. One reviewer says the taproom does not serve food and encourages ordering from other local businesses, while others describe eating there. One suggests stopping in after Arthurs Seat. A visitor who found a guest burger kitchen running liked the Oklahoma Burger so much they ordered a second.

“As a coeliac, discovering Bellfield was a revelation. I hadn’t realised how much the impact of always going for cider, always risking contaminated lines, and never being able to relax, was having on me. Instead I now have a place where I feel at home. I can drink like everyone else, and no one else can tell the beer is intact gluten free. Great stuff, always amazing food, and beer which would be incredible even without it being gluten free. Such a unique Edinburgh gem. My biggest advice is anyone in the area checks it out. And if Gregor is working, give him a massive hug.”

“Where do I start. Good service, very friendly staff. Great at handling GF stuff, other than that the food and beer are also amazing. And there is something for everyone. Will be back if I return to Edinburgh. 🤩🤩”
