The food is really really good 👍 Updated 28/07/2025 Honestly, been back to Ashdown Take Away for a couple of times since I wrote my last review, the food is getting better and better ! I had Chicken Curry with Mushrooms this evening and it was absolutely gorgeous ! Well-done chef 👨‍🍳 👍🏼 My son had the Beef with Green Pepper & Black Bean Sauce, had a small bite and that was excellent too ! But my son refused to share the rest 🫩 We also ordered Sweet and Sour Pork with Chips and Mini Spring Rolls for my son's GF...can't go wrong with Sweet and Sour !   “Reasonable price, food were prepared on time. Recommend dry special fried rice, n Sichuan style dishes if you can eat slightly spicy food. Going to try other dishes next time.”

  “I recently tried a dish called (Sweet and Sour Chicken), and it was a delightful surprise. The chicken was tender on the inside with a light, crispy coating that held up well under the sweet and tangy sauce. The sauce itself had a balanced flavor. A classic Chinese comfort food that I would definitely order again. This is the best Chinese take away I've tried in Chandler's Ford.”

  “Thought we would try this place. What a mistake. The most awful food. Chips seemed to be old and re cooked. Rice tasteless. Curry congealed and horrid. Noodles like rubber and crispy chilli beef tasted of vinegar. We wished we have just taken it back and got refunded. Please avoid and this place needs to sort itself out. Horrible”
