Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply over whether the food arrives hot and on time. Satisfied customers praise generous portions, delivery that beats the quoted time, and a chicken balls, sweet and sour and chowmain tray deal they call fully loaded. Others report the opposite: cold food, long delivery waits, and phone calls that only brought assurances the order was on the way. Complaints name dry, burnt chicken balls pink inside, ribs in a sauce described as tar, rubbery squid, goopy kung po king prawns, crispy wong tongs missing their sauce, and roast duck with keshews in a disgusting sauce. Some longtime customers say the standard has dropped recently. One reviewer reports food poisoning after a pink curry. One unhappy diner still called the delivery driver fantastic, and another, who was offered replacements for the two worst dishes, says they arrived much later.

“I’ve just ordered from Shanghai gardens spent 60 pounds trying to treat my family for a Mother’s Day meal and I wouldn’t have fed my dog this food. The chicken balls we’re dry and burnt yet pink on the inside, the there is a mystery sauce drowning the ribs with a texture and flavour only to described as tar, satay skewers came without sauce, rubbery squid looked to be cooked in dirty oil, kung po king prawns were goopy and the sauce was a gelatinous mess and everything looked disgusting and to top it all everything was cold and I will be sure to never ever order from this place again. Ps. the delivery driver was above and beyond fantastic and was the only delight I can say about this place.”

“Waited an hour and a half for the order to be delivered only for them to miss our drink, also miss the sauce for the crispy wong tongs which makes the dish unenjoyable (the wong tong filling tasted stale especially without any sauce), the roast duck with keshews was in a disgusting sauce that looked like it was poured together from various dishes and the roast duck is not roast duck, should call it what it is, it is cooked duck. Awful place, never order from here again, save yourself the disappointment and avoid!!!”
