  “I ordered takeaway and then received the wrong order, which was supposed to be a dry wok duck, but it was wet and contained a lot of bones, to be honest, at £18.50, it wasn’t worth it. The salt and pepper squid was very tough to bite because apparently the squid wasn’t fresh enough, and I felt like it had been reheated. The egg fried rice was a bit eggy and dark with the sauce. Overall, the taste was okay, but the texture and quality were poor. Although today my jaw is still a little sore from chewing the squid.”

  “The restaurant was dark and unhygienic, with soda crates stacked along the walls. The noodles were extremely greasy and completely bland — no seasoning, no salt, no flavour whatsoever. Very disappointing experience.”

  “Food is just okay, there are much better places around Southampton. Rough atmosphere, spent 20 minutes listening to the chef and waiter argue with each other about a delivery whilst the poor driver stood there. The xinjiang big plate chicken was not authentic , had udon on bottom this should be a wide belt noodle . Spend somewhere else.”

  “When we arrived there we 2 tables occupied and two tables covered in used dishes. Service was slow to take even a drink order. The two other tables left before our food was served. By the time we left none of the 4 previous tables had been cleared. Food was underwhelming, some of it even odd tasting (praying i'm not ill tokorrow) and the wine wasn't much better either. When coming to pay they weren't keen on anything other than cash, their card machine wasn't even turned on so we had to wait ages and even at one point they asked if we could do a bank transfer instead.”

  “Really nice food with nice staff and good was made quickly. Also got our meal free of charge as we collected our order and could win it for free if we pulled a joker on a set of cards that the staff gave us. Would recommend.”

  “Came here on the spare of a moment during the week. It was lovely and quiet and was warmly welcomed to a table. Service was polite and friendly and the food was tasty, hot and well presented. As it is a Chinese restaurant it offered an extensive range of Chinese dishes, there was a lot to choose from. As a party of two we did go a bit crazy with how many things we ordered, but the dishes were not extortionate in price. Per head we spent around £30 each but we could have easily spent less if we had been more conservative with ordering. They did take away and as well as dine in. Food was reasonably priced for the portion size. As this was some where I had not visited before I was pleasantly surprised and would visit again, especially around lunch time mid-week when it seemed to be quiet. The only issue I had was finding somewhere nearby to park, ended up parking down a side street.”

  “What a beautiful place. Such a relaxed evening me and my family had at this place. They have a beautiful garden at the back as well which is well maintained and clean. The food was fab, all worth the price. I definitely recommend this place if you want to try some real authentic Chinese food.”

  “A great night out with great food, great portion size, great taste. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. I really enjoyed the Chinese barbeque dish. Highly recommend to Chinese food lovers. We enjoy the night so much my friend even booked a table for their Christmas dinner, too.”

  “Service: 4 out of 5. They were great, quite fast when serving, but not as attentive after food have been served. We order a fair amount and dishes were not taken away once finished. But it is partly our fault for ordering way too much! Food: outstanding 5 out of 5. I have been to a fair amount of Chinese restaurant, from Chinatown to all the little part of London, and many others in smaller towns. But this is as authentic as you can ask for. Some dishes are ultra spicy so beware. Atmosphere: you can probably book a garden booth, I haven't try but pretty sure you can ask for that if you want some cold air. As for inside, it was nice and airy, have a nice and chillax vibe to it. Price: for the location, presentation, variety and quality of food, it would be considered a fair price. I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu!”
