Customer Review Summary
Most single out the food itself as the standout draw, with several calling it the best Chinese they have had, in the UK or beyond, and praising hot, fresh, well-presented plates that beat London alternatives. Service draws repeated praise too, with reviewers describing the staff as welcoming, helpful, and accommodating, including a late Sunday takeaway order taken at closing. One diner returning after a change of owners was impressed by the freshness and quality. Alongside this praise, a few negative accounts recur. The all-you-can-eat option on a Saturday is criticised as overpriced at nearly £40 a person, with a five-item limit enforced and small portions, like two small chicken balls for two, and dry satay starter. Another family visit was marked by long waits between courses and staff who were pleasant but hard to flag down. One takeaway customer also reports a sharp price rise under the new owners for the same order.

“Very accommodating staff and restaurant! Sunday at 9pm when they were closing, they still allowed us to order takeaways, and this was genuinely the best Chinese we've had in UK, very good sizes too.”

“We have come up from London and really needed something to eat. We decided to try out this place and wow the food did not disappoint. Women who was serving us was very helpful very lovely always asking if we needed anything. Good came out hot and fresh was better than London Chinese”

“We came here on a whim after visiting Marwell Zoo and needing food before a long drive home, and I’m so glad we did. There were four of us and two babies, and I’m usually a bit wary about eating out late with a baby, but the experience was wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was incredible – genuinely the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The host was the most welcoming, lovely woman and my baby absolutely adored her. I rarely leave reviews, but this place touched my heart and I just had to share how great it was. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re nearby!”

“Quick review, very average. Ordered from the all you can eat option rather than the menu. Every time we ordered a selection of bits it was almost like we got questioned if we would eat it. Don't select more than 5 things, you get told the table is too small and a whole story of the kitchen and ordering and I really couldn't understand what was going on. Also the price for what you pay for the all you can eat on a Saturday I believe is far too much. Nearly £40 per person for a very average Chinese. They don't like to offer much either, 2 small chicken balls for two people. The chicken satay starter was very dry, the satay chicken main was peculiar and had no resemblance to satay whatsoever. The black bean was average and the other bits we had again very average. Nothing stood out as amazing. The party I was with actually gave a rating of a two, but I don't think it was that bad, maybe 2.5. I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. There is better Chinese out there and save some money and get yourself a decent takeaway.”

“Great food this evening for our table of 8, well worth the visit.”
