About Bay Of Bengal
Bay Of Bengal is an Indian restaurant at 3 Regents Way in Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline, where the kitchen pairs local produce with European-influenced cooking techniques. Main ingredients are delivered from the market each day, and the dishes bring Indian ingredients and methods together in new combinations. Chicken tikka appears as a starter and again in a masala, while chicken pakora arrives with a spicy sauce. Biryani gets its own place on the menu, with chicken biryani and a chicken tikka biryani among the options. The chef and his team write the menus themselves.

Customer Review Summary
Chicken biryani is the dish reviewers raise most, one calling it the best in a long time, and the spicy sauce served with the pakoras also earns praise. Close behind are a chicken tikka starter, chicken pasanda, chicken dansak with a keema naan, and a korma, with portions described as perfect and one diner taking leftovers home. A group of nine found the service excellent, and another reviewer called the staff friendly. The complaints centre on takeaway and delivery. One order was reportedly remade and then cancelled after repeated phone calls. Another arrived with onion bhajis instead of pakoras, and a promised callback about a refund never came. A separate takeaway left a chicken tikka masala tasting overwhelmingly of coconut and a biryani heavy with salt. One diner was charged for chutney and felt pushed to order a main course.

“I've had nice meals from here so ordered dinner for mum and me but the order was wrong. Simple order 2 biryani and chicken pakora. Got dried up onion bhajis instead of pakora which nobody likes. Called the restaurant who said they would give me pakoras next time. I asked for a refund. Told they would call back but nobody did. I won't be returning”

“Had a lovely meal with my wife and son. We were there a little early so it was quiet to begin with but soon started to get busier. Staff were friendly. We had some nice starters(I really enjoyed my chicken tikka starter) then I had the chicken tikka biryani and my wife had the chicken pasanda which she really enjoyed. We will be back”

“HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Ordered off the Uber Eats app at 18.50 and expected delivery was 19.15-19.35. Since it was a restaurant courier I was unable to track it. By 20.00 I phoned the restaurant and a nice man explained it was out for delivery. Waited until 20.45 and then phoned again to be told that the order was messed up and was being remade and ensured it would be with us soon. However by 21.30 it had still not arrived, I phoned again. This time they ensured it was 5 mins away. At 21.45, almost 3 hours since ordering, they phone and said their driver has broken down, this was an obvious lie. They then said they would cancel the order and before I could ask how to get my money back they hung up mid sentence. Absolute disgrace! Will not be back.”

“Absolutely gorgeous food. Best Byriani I've had in a long time. The spicy sauce that came with pakoras is delicious. The only suggestion I would make is to make the lights a little less bright to make the ambience a little nicer but that is entirely my own preference. The food is divine and I'll be back!”
