Customer Review Summary

Coffee is the main draw, with reviewers calling it very good, top tier and elite, and one first-time coffee drinker praising the cinnamon ice latte a server recommended. Close behind is the food and baking. Afternoon teas come with quality bread and plenty of filling, and the pork pie and sausage rolls are called top class. A bacon and sausage sandwich and the sweet treats also get praise. Several reviewers value the gluten free choices, noting the gluten free cakes are kept separate and covered, and that staff know their allergens and keep an allergen book. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and lovely, and the room is busy but not too loud for working on a laptop. The main caveat is waiting. One regular says it always takes ages to be served and to receive an order because it is so busy, and says anyone in a rush should not come. Another returning customer found the till exchange curt when pointing out a cake, though the rest of the staff seemed lovely. One reviewer's afternoon teas arrived boxed and wrapped, made for the collection time they had chosen.

“We are regular customers at this lovely coffee shop, and Lydia has also made some amazing celebration cakes for us, the most recent being for our daughter’s 18th birthday! 🎂❤️ I was absolutely blown away that Lydia was able to create such a beautiful cake from just a simple description of what I had in mind. It turned out even better than I could have hoped for! Thank you so much, Lydia — it was absolutely perfect! 🥰✨”

“Was looking forward to visiting jimmy Pigs at tesco today as we used to come here alot and havnt been for a long while we came in all excited to take in the usual warm welcomeing staff and atmosphere.... untill we reached the till ! the girl who served us was a young girl called sharaya printed on our receipt . She served us at the till my husband ordered his latte and bacon amd sasuage sandwhich and I asked for a skinny lattee with sugar free syrup and joked saying im asking for skinny because im going to habe one of these lovley cake treats !!! the girl didnt react just looked at me very plainly I thought ok no worries I ordered my order and pointed at a cake i wanted she didnt even try to look at which one i was pointing to she just said very firlmy theres names on them which name ! The order was 22.35p my husband passed her a 20.00 note from his wallet and she took it from him with the tip of her finger and dropped it like it was contaminated in some way... so my husband quickly picked up on her attitude and dropped the 2.35 on to the counter instead of putting it into her hand she acted surprised at his action when he did this but it was in retaliation to her overall customer service not good to come back after all this time and see staff treating customers this way the rest of the staff seemed lovely smiles and happy to be here . Not good ! .”
