About Bone Idle Lounge
Bone Idle Lounge is a coffee shop in Doncaster, at 54 Silver St. Dogs are welcome, so anyone out walking with a dog can bring it along when they stop in for a coffee. The owner describes the lounge as a place to slow down and take a break from the day, with nothing required of visitors beyond spending time there. For dog owners in Doncaster, that makes it a coffee stop where the dog does not need to wait outside.

Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what most reviewers return to. One self-proclaimed coffee snob calls it the best in a very long time, and another describes a rich, flavoursome black Americano that suited a blonde chocolate chip brownie, soft and chewy without being heavy. Close behind are the cocktails, called excellent, with a menu that changes seasonally, plenty of dairy free options with extra syrups and liqueur, and canned ale and soft drinks from smaller companies. Craft beer and cider also get a mention. Staff are repeatedly called lovely and friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming, cosy by day and chilled out in the evening, with music loud enough for ambience but quiet enough for conversation. A couple of reviewers look forward to the event nights with games or skating. One suggests bringing a friend, picking a board game from the bookshelf and settling into the upstairs room with a warm cuppa, while another notes the dog can come along for a puppaccino.

“Popped in for a pint and its such a cosy welcoming atmosphere for all! Excited to go back especially for their event nights with games or skating! Can’t recommend enough!”

“In the chaos that is an evening on silver street, Bone idle is a wonderful safe haven. A cosy and beautiful aesthetic welcomes You as You enter, with further warmth coming from being greeted by the staff. The cocktail menu is perfectly curated with changing seasonal and themed additions. The options available for dairy free drinks are fantastic with lots off extras like syrups and liqueur available. I also love that many of canned drinks such as ale and soft drinks are sourced from smaller companies. This is the perfect place for those wanting to enjoy drinks with friends in an environment where the music is loud enough to create ambience but quiet enough that a conversation can easily be had. Perfect for resting your feet after shopping during the day and for cocktail treats in the evening, definitely a place to visit!”

“I've been meaning to go in her for a long time but never had the chance and I'm a creature of habit so usually stick to places I know. This place came highly recommended from many people so today I decided to pop in and get a coffee. From the moment I walked in it was welcoming. Staff member is super lovely and got on very well with. All the customers that all seem like regulars were really nice too. The vibe was great and as a self proclaimed coffee snob, the coffee was so so nice. Best I've had in a very long time. Usually I need loads of sugar at other places but I only needed one in this place as the coffee was so nice and it didn't upset my stomach like some other places do. I loved coming here. Great drinks and prices. Great atmosphere. Great staff and customers. And it looks great and is welcoming. I highly recommend. I can see why it comes so highly recommend by alot of people I know.”

“Cosy, friendly coffee shop during the day and intimate, chilled out bar in the evening. A great place to sit and gaze at the world outside or meet a friend for a catch up. 🥰 The staff are the loveliest and really cool. 😎 The coffee here, dark woods is really good quality coffee. Very vegan friendly- but excellent choice for everyone. ☕️ Perfect little escape especially for those who like a little alt-vibe and want somewhere outside of the crazy bars to hang out. Cocktails are excellent. 🍹 Extra tip- bring a friend and pick one of the many board games from the book shelf and squirrel away in the upstairs room for a few hours with a warm cuppa!”
