About The Old Brewhouse
The Old Brewhouse is a bar on Cusworth Ln in Doncaster, reached through an unsigned entrance to the right of the main building. The kitchen turns out stone-baked pizzas on a flatbread base, alongside a flatbread garlic bread served with a garlic mayo dip. Several cask and tap beers are poured, including the brewhouse's own brews, plus ciders. Seating inside is limited, so the courtyard tables and the outdoor seating near the path to Cusworth hill extend the space for those who want to sit outside. A step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance serves visitors with mobility needs, and dogs are welcome throughout. It opens Wednesday to Sunday and stays closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There is no booking system, and the bar operates on a walk-in basis. Toilets are available on site.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza is what reviewers mention most at this micro pub beside Cusworth Hall, and opinions split on it. Some call the pizzas lovely, fresh and stone baked with generous toppings, while one diner found them sad, with tepid garlic bread, bits that felt uncooked, and cheese sitting unmelted in rectangular chunks on the flatbread base. Close behind is the drink list, with a selection of craft ales, a pint of draught cider that washed down the meal nicely, and a good spread of cask and tap beers. Others pick up a flat white, a vegan sausage roll and caramel shortbread from the pastry options inside. Reviewers describe a lovely old building, a small interior and a courtyard that suits a drink after a walk around the park. Staff are mostly called friendly and pleasant, though one reviewer found service very slow and described one staff member as rude. That reviewer also found the courtyard too cold in winter and wanted the gazebo back, with only a handful of seats inside.

“Lovely little pub with some great beers. Service is very slow and the lady with the grey bobbed hair is very rude, but everyone else is lovely. Needs the gazebo back in the courtyard, it's way too cold to sit outside in the winter and only a handful of seats inside.”
- Kevin Dickinson
“Nice building and pleasant place to sit but man...the pizzas were a bit sad. The garlic bread seemed to have been lightly warmed up, bits felt uncooked and tepid (also it's a bit of a shame that it's a flatbread served with garlic mayo dip rather than done properly). On other pizzas ordered, cheeses hadn't melted, sitting on the flatbread base in rectangular chunks. Please cook them longer, it would honestly make them 10 times better!”
