Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the friendly, helpful staff, who seated one walk-in party without a booking, took a pre-order for a group of twelve, and helped put together a surprise baby shower. The food is described as always nice, well presented and piping hot, with the tomahawk called brilliant on a Father's Day visit, and a few call it good value. The beer garden is praised for a pleasant buzz that is not too loud, and the atmosphere is called fantastic for both meals and drinks. Regulars mention date nights and midweek meals. The complaints are few but specific. One diner found the first staff member abrupt until a younger colleague took over and was extremely pleasant. Another had a Nashville burger sent back, and the kitchen's replacement turned out to be the wrong burger, though the server who handled it was called lovely.

“Went on a hot day, so all the doors were open which ment there was an abundance of flys in the building which put me off stright away as i was having to swat them away from my food every 30 seconds so this was not a pleasurable experience, food was ok, typical pub grub and reasonably priced, quick and friendly service from staff, the initial staff member (a more mature staff member) was quite abrupt and seemed under pressure but the young lady who took over was extremely pleasant and more than willing to help. If we had had the young lady from the start the service would have been a 5”

“We visited in a group of 6 for a birthday meal one Sunday recently. I was only able to book the restaurant as the main bar was shown as fully booked. When we got there, the main area was largely empty so I asked to be seated there. We were moved across with no issues. The food arrived in good time, and everyone enjoyed their meal. There were no errors or complaints. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit again.”

“We turned up on a busy Saturday afternoon, sat in the lovely beer garden, it was very pleasant with a nice buzz of noise but not too loud. Service was good, food was very nice, staff pleasant and helpful. Would recommend”
