  “Whent for an annerversary party organised here by a friend the staff were all lovely it was nice to see them dancing around behind the bar when the staff are having a good time it makes for a better atmosphere all round. The party space was lovely with the conservatory to the side it creates alot more space. All in all a great evening made possible by a good bar”

  “Often pop into this pub for breakfast when visiting from Hull , the pub quiz was mentioned and recommended. So on the night we came back, the quiz and atmosphere was really good . Definitely coming back but with a few more friends to make a night of it 👏🏻👏🏻”

  “A good night out, first time I have been here. Staff were polite, place clean,moderately priced. My daughters birthday party,private room and a quite room next to the main room if the music gets to loud.”

  “Great local boozer, always packed but you never struggle to get served. They have tellies in all the right places so no matter where you sit you can watch sports. The outdoor area has recently had a facelift and they regularly have food vendors out front. My only grumble is the lack of attention when it comes to certain facilities. The disabled / baby change toilet has been out of order for nearly a month and a loo seat in the ladies is broken and has been sitting propped up next to the bowl for over a fortnight. Other than that it's cheap, cheerful and friendly.”

  “Excellent, polite staff. Good choice of drinks, with very reasonable prices. A good mix of clientele (couples, young/old, male/female). The place has recently been refurbished and is pleasant and warm. The toilets were clean and in good condition. There is the games room, which tends to be busier, but has a good mix of clientele. And the function room, which is nice for a quiet chat, and has loads of seating. The outside seating is used a lot on sunny days and there is quite a large patio at the front. Parking is available in the car park. With it being a neighbourhood pub, most people walk, but there is ample parking and space to drop off. We switched here from a nearby establishment that was going downhill fast, and have been very happy to go back to the mallard after not visiting for a while.”

  “This is 1st time in this establishment , it was a 70th party / gathering it was hosted without fuss. The buffet supplied was value for money who ever paid the bill. Excellent food service within the process getting food covered or cleared when it was time to do so to keep things fresh. Well worth booking an event for 40 poss 50 at a squeeze. Thanks for having us 😊”
