Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often highlight The Mallard as a reliable spot for parties and gatherings, with several describing anniversary and birthday celebrations, plus a 70th birthday buffet praised for being "value for money" and kept fresh throughout. Close behind is the pub's function room and conservatory space, which reviewers say adds room for private parties while a quieter side room lets guests escape loud music. The quiz night and open mic night both draw repeat praise for atmosphere, and one reviewer singles out the duo meat Sunday roast for quick service and reasonable price. Drinks are consistently called reasonably priced, and multiple reviewers note the toilets and general space as clean. One reviewer does flag upkeep issues, reporting the disabled and baby-change toilet was out of order for nearly a month and a broken loo seat in the ladies sat propped against the bowl for over a fortnight, though they still called the pub "cheap, cheerful and friendly." Another reviewer mentions switching back after a nearby pub "was going downhill fast."

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
