Customer Review Summary
Celebrations sit at the center of the praise. Several diners marked anniversaries or birthdays and received a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a card, with servers described as friendly and attentive. Food is the next draw, with the scallop starter and pork belly main called incredible. Others single out the smoked duck and liver parfait, roasted stone bass with a smoked eel croquette, and the crème brûlée. Lunch visitors describe a royale with smoked salmon and poached eggs, plus French toast with almonds. Cocktails also earn mentions, namely the Toasted Almond and the cherry blossom, along with an affogato with a shot of amaretto. The caveats are modest. One reviewer found the mains a tad small, another notes diners should expect to pay a bit more, and one was given the wrong starter, which the waitress quickly replaced. Reviewers also remark on small touches, and one couple left with a complimentary local painting and a message from the team.

“What a fantastic experience at The PepperPot! We are visiting from Hampshire and after winning an award recently our waitress Abbie gifted us with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a card congratulating us. She was superb and made the evening so much more special. The scallop for starter and the pork belly for main were incredible! Best dining experience we’ve had for a very long time”
