About 3 Five 1 Restaurant

3 Five 1 Restaurant is an Asian fusion restaurant in Coventry, on Stoney Stanton Rd, serving Pakistani street food built around big shared Tawa platters. The kitchen developed the menu over 8 years, after travels that ran from Karachi to Lahore and up to Kashmir. A Tawa puts everything on one plate, and a tawa for two means a pair of diners can share a single dish. Lamb chops and karahi sit alongside it, and naan and roti come with the mains. Waiters bring sauces to the table and refill them on request. Service is at the table, and guests are seated on arrival when the room is not busy. The restaurant opens daily, evenings only.

Customer Review Summary

The tawa sharing platter is what reviewers mention most, including a peri peri tawa that fed a family of six with leftovers and a medium tawa described as perfect for two. Lamb chops and the curries also get praise, and several reviewers single out friendly, attentive servers, one who helped a family find the prayer room and one who took their family photos. Complaints are substantial, though. Some say quality has slipped, with food that tasted less fresh and seasoned differently than before. One reviewer found the chops and chicken tikka seekh kebabs dry and tough, with crispy, dry naan, and felt a table that had sent chops back was served the same batch. Another found the sauce refills needed repeated requests. One reviewer reports diarrhoea and stomach pains after a tawa that smelled off to their family, and says it arrived without the usual sizzle. A takeaway order of karahi, small seekh kebabs and five cubes of chicken tikka drew the complaint that everything tasted the same.

“Really enjoyed my visit here. The lamb chops were really nice and the food was great overall. Zayn provided excellent service throughout our meal — he was very friendly, attentive, and kept checking up on us to make sure everything was okay. He was also really helpful in showing us where the prayer room was, which we really appreciated. Overall, a lovely experience and great service.”

“Recently went after not having been for a few years. This used to be my favourite restaurant for the quality of food and cost, however it seems the food quality has dropped considerably... almost as if there's a new chef or quality has dropped due to cost efficiency? I could easily tell the seasoning of some of the food had changed due to different colouring and nothing tasted as fresh as it used to. The service was still great as always though, but I really do recommend the restaurant goes back to ther old style of cooking even if that means a price increase, otherwise I am unlikely to visit again.”

“We had a wonderful dining experience at 351 Restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. A special thank you to Huzaifa, who looked after us throughout our visit. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. His professionalism and genuine hospitality made our experience even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend 351 Restaurant to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. We’ll certainly be back!”

“Spent £40 and got chicken and lamb karahi, four small seekh kebab chicken and lamb. 5 cubes of chicken tikka, two pieces of wings, naan and five roti. Doesn't worth. Same taste in every thing. I am pretty sure that I can cook far better than them,,,,, but was tired that's why ordered. Will definitely never order from them even if they give for half price. Sorry”
