Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come back for the full English breakfast, praising proper portions of beans and tomatoes, good quality bacon and sausages, perfectly cooked eggs, and extra butter with the toast. Close behind are the homemade bakes, including apple turnovers and cakes, along with pork and stuffing baguettes, jacket potatoes, blended milkshakes, and buy one get one free pancakes that one party had boxed up and made fresh before leaving. A strong builders tea gets a mention too, and a kids' Halloween event where children decorated brownies and cookies was described as lovely and fun. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and helpful. The caveat is speed and consistency. One reviewer found breakfast slow, blaming oven-based cooking, and described the cafe as busy and chaotic. Another, arriving near closing, was refused eggs by a woman who said she was the owner and was left with a batch holding one sausage and one slice of bacon. One reviewer also warns that Fridays get especially busy.

“Really really love this place. The effort that the staff put into this place shines through. The breakfasts and bakes are incredible and you are able to reserve a table if needed. Thoroughly recommend!”

“Shocking service, attitude was disgraceful from the lady that said she was the owner, muttering stuff from under her breath about me and couldn't serve eggs half hour from closing so was £5 for 1 sausage and 1 slice of bacon in a batch will definitely not be going back there again!!! Disgusting.”

“If you are looking for a proper English breakfast, then you need to come here. The food is excellent the staff are so friendly and helpful. You get proper portion sizes of beans and tomatoes not just a spoon full in a pot. The bacon and sausages were a good quality of meat and eggs were perfect. Another perfect touch for me was when we got three butters of the two slices of toast and not just one. The tea was perfect a good strong builders cuppa. If you don’t come here for your breakfast you are missing out.”

“First time here, staff are lovely. We had a small breakfast and pancakes. It was delicious plus the pancakes were buy one get one free. A great example of amazing service, offered to put the free pancakes in a to go box and made them before we left so as fresh as possible. 5 stars!”
