About Téatro
Téatro is a modern British restaurant on Beeches Rd in Cirencester, in the Cotswolds, with a piano bar where a pianist plays after dinner and live music is a regular event. Diners can move into the bar after their meal to stay for the music. The kitchen serves breakfast, steak dinners and afternoon tea, and pre-theatre suppers are available for guests booking ahead of a performance. A private dining room accommodates groups, and dogs are welcome. The restaurant is open daily, and reservations are required. A garden, separate from the main restaurant, hosts weddings.

Customer Review Summary
Live music in the bar is what most reviewers come away talking about, from a pianist who played for diners after their meal to a house musician called the highlight of the evening and a piano bar that made a Saturday night special. Praise for the food sits alongside it, with one reviewer describing a delicious steak dinner and another calling the dishes creative, tasty and full of flavours. Several also found the staff friendly, welcoming and attentive. Four reviewers had a very different experience, mostly around timing and the kitchen. Two pre-theatre diners report slow starters, one table leaving before a main after hard, unripe melon, the other rushing through overcooked lamb cutlets and a tasteless crispy artichoke starter. A lunch guest describes slow service, rock hard sourdough with prawns, and chilli on two dishes ordered without it. Another table sent back two undercooked steaks at a birthday meal, and the manager tried to make up for it.

“Sadly, a very poor experience this time! We arrived at 6pm to have dinner before the 7.30 Theatre performance. Our starter was very slow coming out, and included pieces of hard, unripe melon! We waited until 7.15 then let the staff know that we did not have time to eat dinner. We were then given a bill for £42 for two starters and two drinks. It’s a nice place to be, but something clearly went very wrong! We will give it another try, but most definitely not for our next Wedding Anniversary!”

“Very disappointing lunch yesterday. Chairs extremely uncomfortable outside. Very slow service. We waited 50 minutes for food and there were very few customers. Not very nice food - far too much mayonnaise on everything. Rock hard sourdough with the prawns We asked for no chilli but 2 dishes came with chilli on. Over priced, clearly the menu is over complicated for the kitchen to cope with. Will definitely not be going again. Such a shame as we like visiting the Barn Theatre.”

“What amazing food! Wow! Everything we had was creative, tasty and full of flavours. We randomly came across this restaurant when all the other local pubs shut for lunch and so happy we ended up here. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!”

“This is a lovely place for a meal. The staff, are incredible. The welcome and the service was amazing. Our waiter Jannick was friendly, attentive, informed of the menu and checked with the kitchen on specifics. Would recommend, will come again, and there is live music. A lovely evening.”

“My friends and I came here on Saturday night and absolutely LOVED this place. The food was incredible, the service was excellent and we loved the piano bar! The live music really made the night special. Couldn't recommend more highly.”
