“I am Italian, and I was genuinely disappointed with this restaurant. The establishment claims to maintain high standards of hygiene, but unfortunately, what I saw was completely different. The floor was not only dirty but also extremely greasy and slippery, almost as if it had been covered in oil. This is unacceptable, not only in terms of cleanliness but also for the safety of both customers and staff. As an Italian, I am used to paying close attention to cleanliness and hygiene in restaurants, and honestly, I would not expect to find conditions like these. Perhaps standards here in England are different from what I am accustomed to in Italy, but cleanliness and safety should be fundamental wherever food is prepared and served. Considering the lack of cleanliness I witnessed, the kitchen did not appear to be a suitable environment for preparing food. A restaurant should maintain proper hygiene standards and ensure that customers can feel confident about the cleanliness of the food preparation areas, rather than simply claiming to have high standards. As for the food, it was nothing special and certainly did not make up for the overall disappointment. My experience was negative, particularly because of the poor cleanliness and the apparent lack of attention to hygiene. I expected much better, and personally, I would not return. If I could give 0 stars, I would.”

“Fantastic people, fantastic food. Thank you.”

“Genuinely unbelievable. Without a doubt the best chippy I have ever had in my life. Local and family run, great friendly people, can sit inside, which is always a bonus. Great menu, including a "Pea Fritter" which I have never seen anywhere else. A proper traditional chippy. However all of this would mean little, if the food wasn't as good. The fish is absolutely incredible. Light and crispy batter. Fresh and flaky cod, large chunks of it. Sweet curry sauce. Not frozen, always fresh. I would give this 11/10. It was a pleasure, so much so I felt compelled to write a review and would feel like it would be a disservice not too. If I can convince one person to try this fish and chips after reading this, I will be happy.”
