  “Authentic keralan food! I had the lamb curry which was incredible! It melted on the mouth. We also had traditional poratta. Which went down nicely with pink lemonade. Very friendly staff and accommodating too!”

  “We both ordered curries that were rated medium spice, one paneer dish and the other lamb. Both lacked any flavour or spice. I would say the lamb dish was akin to a Sunday dinner in gravy. The paneer dish sauce was like a tinned cream soup. We were so disappointed with the lack of spice or flavour. It must be said that the staff were very welcoming and nice and the atmosphere was fine. The fermented rice served as bread was flavourless and very similar to dried rice you peel off the bottom of rice cooker. If very mild curry is your thing you might like this, but for us it is not the sort of curry we enjoy. Hopefully this feedback will be taken on board with good faith as intended, to improve flavour to your dishes and get more customers recommending you. If you can get the flavour in to the food you will have a great business.”

  “Visited Little Kochi for my birthday and had a really lovely experience. The restaurant is beautifully presented, very clean, and has a calm, inviting atmosphere. You can tell care has gone into every detail. The staff were excellent – attentive, polite, and genuinely welcoming. The service really stood out and made the evening feel special. The food offers rich, distinctive South Indian flavours, with a real depth and a noticeable use of coconut and traditional ingredients. It’s a unique style that stands apart from what many people might expect, and definitely something different to try if you’re open to new flavours. Overall, a really positive experience with standout service and a lovely ambience.”

  “We visited Little Kochi in Cardiff as a group of four and had a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal with friends. The food was excellent — full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. Everyone in our group ordered something different, which gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes, and everything that came to the table was delicious. The spices were well balanced and the portions were generous without feeling overwhelming. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening, with staff happy to offer recommendations and check in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Overall, Little Kochi delivered a fantastic dining experience and is a place we would happily return to. Perfect for group meals or anyone looking to enjoy authentic, flavourful food in Cardiff.   “Cannot recommend enough. The décor is stunning, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, staff were friendly, attentive and so absolutely lovely. The food oh my goodness. Perfect portions, spiced beautifully so dishes were fragrant but in no way overpowering. We had a little bit of everything and whether it was chicken, lamb, fish or vegetarian it was all honestly delicious. Early Sunday afternoon was a little to early to try their signature cocktails but cannot wait to go back and have several because they sound stunning 👀”

  “We had dinner yesterday at Little Kochi and had a good experience. The food was good and loved the interiors. The staff were nice too. We tried the Kerala style crispy chicken as a starter and that was our favorite. For the main course we had Keralan prawns with coconut rice and garlic naan. Everything was tasty but wish the garlic naan had more garlic in it. Overall great food and ambiance - we will definitely be visiting again 😊”

  “The pictures do not capture the complete beauty of this place. You would need all of your 5 senses (and maybe the sixth sense as I saw my soul got touched by the amazing food) to truly experience what Little Kochi has on offer. Overall fantastic place, the food, ambiance and the staff. What more could you ask for. A must try for anyone down in Cardiff as it just completes the bucket list of things to do in our little city.”

  “During a recent trip to Wales, my friends and I had the opportunity to dine at Little Kochi, and it was an experience that far exceeded our expectations. Although we are based in London and accustomed to dining at South Indian restaurants, Little Kochi truly stood out, offering some of the best South Indian cuisine we’ve had, surpassing even what we’ve enjoyed in London. The restaurant was spotless and welcoming, creating a perfect ambiance for a relaxed evening meal. We started with a selection of appetizers, which were well-prepared and offered fresh flavors. While the starters were enjoyable and provided a good start to our meal, it was the main courses that really took the spotlight. The appam and beef curry, in particular, were absolutely outstanding. The depth of flavor and authenticity in these dishes were remarkable, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of South India. The balance of spices was impeccable, and every bite was a true delight. It’s rare to find such exceptional South Indian food, even in London, making Little Kochi a hidden gem. The service was just as commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a seamless dining experience. The team was courteous and professional, adding to the overall positive impression. In summary, Little Kochi is an exceptional find, especially for those seeking authentic South Indian flavors. The combination of outstanding food, excellent service, and a warm, clean environment makes it a must-visit. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Wales, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.”

  “Go in to have a authentic Kerala food experience without travelling all the way to Kerala, India. Even the interior takes you back to Kerala. Would prefer to reserve the table, and it can become bit busy. I would surely come again if I pass through Cardiff. This restaurant is for people who wants to spend some time together and have food and not for people who are in for quick bite.”

  “Hands down, one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a while. The pork starter was incredible I’m a fan already! The beef with porotta was absolutely to die for, rich and flavorful, and the fish curry (Allepey style, I think) was outstanding, perfectly balanced with spice and tang. The ambience was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. It was my graduation day, and the team at Little Kochi made it feel extra special with their service and food. Truly an unforgettable meal I can’t wait to go back!”
