  “Our party of 4 visited the Old Crown whilst staying nearby. The welcoming atmosphere was great from the word go. Extensive and interesting menu and no problems getting information about gluten free options. The order was taken without undue delay and the food when served was well presented. All of us enjoyed the taste and quality of our chosen meals. The price reflected the quality and ambience without being overly expensive. Excellent service throughout. We just wish there was a branch near to us.”

  “We had been concerned about wheelchair access and delighted that The Old Crown made it easy for our friends to enter and move about! We enjoyed a warm welcome and a variety of delicious dishes and drinks all served by the friendly staff. One person needed a gluten-free meal, and this proved to be easily done too. We had a lovely lunch, chatting and taking in the view of the pretty garden. In other words, a perfect place for meeting our daughter's future in-laws for the first time!”

  “Unfortunately for us this didn’t meet the 5* reviews we’ve read. The service & staff were faultless. Lovely staff & setting. Food looks nice & good presentation. The food was overpriced, £14 for a curry with no rice/ naan. The large mixed grill was not large - no rice/ chips with it. The Rum Rum chicken personally I didn’t enjoy & left all bar 3 spoonfuls. Veg noodles had hardly any veg. £125 for 4 people inc drinks, we wish we’d gone elsewhere unfortunately.”

  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is our family's go to place for a meal out, and we can't recommend it highly enough. As a family of four with young children, we've visited many times and are always greeted with such a warm welcome. The staff are so genuinely wonderful. They’re consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging with our children, which makes every visit feel relaxed and so enjoyable for all of us. The Manager is also fantastic - he’s constantly engaging with customers and supporting his staff when they’re seeing to other tasks, it’s just a lovely dynamic to see. We’ve worked our way through a variety of dishes over our visits and every dish we’ve ordered has been full of flavour and beautifully prepared - we’re always asked if we’re happy and have received what we wanted. There is plenty of choice on the menu, and a great variety options for children, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion size received. The pub itself is always spotless, well maintained, and comfortable in every season. There is ample parking, a great play area for children, and the atmosphere is consistently welcoming and family friendly. We feel very lucky to have such a fantastic venue on our doorstep. Thank you to the whole team for the excellent food, outstanding service, and for always making our family feel so welcome. We look forward to many more visits!”

  “The food here was simply amazing! I stopped here when on a work trip because it was near my hotel I love Nepali food. The menu was full of options with many of the region’s favorites along with various appetizers and sides, but also a selection of pub food. I had the lamb madras with a side of rice and garlic cheese naan and was amazed by the depth of flavor.”
