Customer Review Summary

The all day breakfast draws the most comment, and mostly criticism. Reviewers describe a cold or barely warm plate with rubbery or undercooked bacon, a snotty or rock solid fried egg, stale or burnt toast, and a sausage several call dreadful. One was disappointed to find no Bury black pudding or mushrooms, and another says the breakfast sandwiches were put together with no care. Hygiene comes up repeatedly. Several mention dirty cutlery without an apology, and one reports plates being rested on pies for sale and cutlery being taken from the pot into an apron pocket. Staff are called friendly and efficient even in some critical reviews, and the happier diners praise lovely staff, coffee, lovely cakes, excellent prices and a relaxed independent cafe. One reviewer with a milk allergy says they had to ask three times for a black coffee, then left both cups untouched because of grime on the rims.

“I wish I read the reviews first. But we were hungry and just went in. The staff were okay, however the food wasn’t the best, Luke warm at best, pre cooked cheap quality, breakfast sandwiches put together with no care, drinks weren’t much better either, it wasn’t expensive so I guess you get what you pay for ? We had one bite, one sip and went elsewhere !”

“Think Environmental Health need to pay a visit!! Dirty cutlery and no apology. As for the all day breakfast it was inedible. Bacon like rubber, snotty egg, sausage was rank. Everything barely warm. Avoid!!”
