Customer Review Summary
Burgers are the dish diners name most, described as well presented and delicious, with one group unable to finish theirs. Close behind are salmon with new potatoes, scampi and chips, a curry and a roast dinner, plus a three-course menu one reviewer could not fault. Friendly staff come up repeatedly, including a landlord who greets people personally and a bar team that suggested food and drinks. Reviewers also mention a decent choice on tap and being served straight away on a busy night with dance music playing. One dissenting review describes a very slow kitchen with few tables occupied, a waiter who dropped the plates down without a word, tacos that were mostly lettuce with a few small pieces of pork belly, and a gluten free burger offered with thin sliced bread that could not hold it. Families describe a garden with a bouncy castle, face painting and karaoke, and one enjoyed a roast dinner there in the sun while their son played.

“Stopped in for a final pint of the evening and sat outside with our dog, where there were plenty of seats despite how busy the pub was. Inside had a lively atmosphere with dance music playing, making it a good spot if you’re after a night out. There was a decent choice on tap, and we were served straight away, which was a pleasant surprise given the crowd.”

“These guys pull out all the stops= looking after many different segments of the community from older people ex-service people kids. Great garden. Keen on decor! Won the franchise of the year award. Recommended 🙏🏼❤️”

“At first glance I was impressed with the beer line up on tap. We weren’t seated to our table, which is okay for a mediocre pub but would be better if they took more pride in their service. We ordered our food for a decent price of £14 for a burger and £14 for 3 small plates. The food took 55 minutes which is an absolute joke as there was only about 4 tables eating. The waiter didn’t say a work at all when serving the food, he just threw it on the table. The food was awful, the tacos consisted of cheap wraps with 90% lettuce and 4 small pieces of pork belly, was inedible. The Camembert was fine and so were the wings. We ordered the burger gluten free, and when it was served, it was the manager I assumed asked if we would like gluten free bread to use for the burger. She then brought out thin sliced up bread around 2 cm wide. Does she really think that would hold a burger? I suggest their team asses their service. When leaving we saw the uncle Sam’s burger restaurant which we regret not seeing before coming here, will not be coming back to the top house, its bottom for me.”
