Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the view over the High Weald, calling it stunning, beautiful and fabulous, with the terrace in summer a favourite spot. The food comes close behind. Diners praise a Sunday roast, a BBQ steak with fresh salads, halloumi and steak, and eggs royal and a full English at breakfast, all called delicious. One gluten free diner says their needs were met perfectly. Several describe birthday and baby shower celebrations handled warmly by the owner and team, with a local Bacchus and live music also mentioned. Service is the recurring complaint. One reviewer describes chips arriving as the mains were finishing and three lemon possets turning up only after the coffees were drunk, despite repeated chasing, plus a pint brought instead of a half and then billed. Another says a burger reached one diner long after the rest of the table had eaten. A breakfast diner found the eggs royal basic with shell in them and felt the prices were too high for it. Even so, one breakfast party recalls the team cooking for them earlier than usual.

“Total joy to experience 180degrees - food delicious, staff very attentive. The only negative was - one of our party didn't receive her burger until 20 minutes after we had eaten our lunch. Nevertheless- can't wait to get back again”

“My first time at this lovely restaurant with the most fabulous views. I had the halloumi & steak which was absolutely delicious & shared a bottle of Bacchus from a local vineyard. I was totally blown away by the amazing views upon entering the restaurant & we were very fortunate to be seated outside & be able to take it all in.”

“I recently had my baby shower at 180, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Everything was beautifully done – from the table setup to the delicious food and the exceptional service. There were 15 of us, and Nikki, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I had the most amazing morning celebrating with my friends, and I can’t thank the team at 180 enough for making it so special. The food, atmosphere, and attention to detail were all fantastic. I would highly recommend it for any special occasion!”

“This was a fantastic find. We saw it last weekend on our way to borde hill, so this weekend on our way back from ardingly reservoir we decided to stop. The car park was full which is always a good sign. The lady who owns the restaurant welcomed us with open arms and sat us down and explained the menu and chatted with us. The food is currently BBQ meat with a selection of different salads on the side on a Sunday. The steak I ordered was superb. Juicy and flavourful. The salads were fresh, absolutely delicious and great variation. A whole roasted pepper on the plate also. A huge plate of food, but it was so delicious, and healthy, I ate the lot. All the staff were very helpful. We will be going back again.”
