Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return to The Fox above all for the Sunday roast and carvery, with several calling it one of the best they have eaten and singling out crispy potatoes, delicious meat and well-cooked veg. Close behind is the welcome, with diners describing friendly owners, lovely ladies behind the bar and a carver who was great too. Parties of five, six and twenty report meals served at a comfortable pace, with starters, mains and dessert arriving when they should and no sense of being rushed. Portions are described as spot on and food as properly cooked and well presented. Also mentioned are the garden, where one group sat out for drinks on a semi-sunny day, and a cozy, warm pub feel that one reviewer compared to walking into a mum's living room. No recurring complaints appear in the reviews. Several say they plan to return, with one already looking forward to a Wednesday lunch and another to rebooking after a busy Friday night dinner.

“We visited The Fox at Aspenden today to celebrate my birthday after hearing great things about the carvery, and it did not disappoint. There were five of us dining at 3:30pm, and from the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The ladies behind the bar were lovely, and the gentleman carving the meat was great too. The carvery was excellent and I honestly could not have asked for a better meal. Everything was cooked beautifully, and the whole experience made my birthday celebration even more special. I would highly recommend The Fox at Aspenden and will definitely be returning.”
