  “Swerve the average breakfast you'll get served in any of the nearby hotels and come here instead! The lovely dining space is matched by friendly, unfussy service and great quality food. Most of the brunch menu is gluten-free and the coffee is strong and smooth.”

  “Really lovely clean eatery , bar , had a lovely Hugo spritz which was on happy hour which was a bonus! I had a lamb kofta which was presented amazing and the tastes were delicious! Service was amazing! Toilets were clean but downstairs the place was really lovely in a nice location !”

  “We had an absolutely lovely meal here today to celebrate our first month of marriage! It was our first time here and we used first table to make a last minute reservation. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with lots of memorabilia about the building and it was a lovely atmosphere to dine in. The food was absolutely delicious, we had 3 courses and each one was beautifully flavoured and presented. The best part for us was the service. We were taken care of by Kiera today who was absolutely lovely, welcoming and so helpful when it came to menu choices! I would definitely recommend dining here for the experience, the tasty food and the absolute warmth of the service!”

  “Found another great foodie place in Bristol. The Granary near King Street. Really nice building and interior decor and the staff were very friendly. The baked eggs and omelette were excellent. Would definitely recommend, especially after a few drinks the night before!”

  “What an amazing place! Fantastic atmosphere, food was absolutely amazing and staff were a perfect balance of professional and friendly. It was a busy Saturday night and although they had a big party table in, all having food they made sure everyone was served as quickly as possible. It's lovely to sit there and watch all the food being freshly prepared. They were easily able to make amendments to accommodate dietary needs and preferences and had vegan options and lots of gluten-free options too. I love the sustainability and seasonal inputs. The food tasted amazing, like a small party of flavours in every bite. What a fantastic end to a wholesome day. I hope to be back again soon!”

  “Slightly above market place compared to some of the eateries in the area. Nice Mediterranean menu, but seemed quiet for a Wednesday lunch. Starters were much bigger than expected and had we known we'd have shared two between the three of us, Beetroot Borani was a light whipped delicious dip. Mains were nice, but I think the starters were the highlight. Not the cheapest for lunch if having drinks, but nice casual place to have a chat with friends and not feel rushed”

  “We booked for an early dinner and ordered the grilled halloumi, the fried chicken, hummus and a flat bread, then lamb kofta and flat iron steak for mains, everything was delicious really great flavours, we ordered the chocolate ganache and the rhubarb tart for dessert and the tart was the best dessert we’ve tried in some time. Waiter was also really nice and chatty. Overall a really pleasant experience, I recommend it”

  “Honestly WOW!! We had an absolutely lovely time at The Granary - we thought the food was unique, flavourful and delicious. The bar staff were very welcoming and helpful, they were able to recommend specific menu items they thought we would enjoy and they nailed it!! Their menu would cater well to those who are vegetarian, and although we visited at lunch, both their à la carte menu and especially their breakfast menu looked incredible - we will definitely be returning to give it another try. follow @russ.scrans on instagram :)”

  “Such a cosy festive brunch! Really difficult to find places these days that nail every area of a n enjoyable restaurant experience. The guys at the Granary do it with ease. Service is relaxed, warm and friendly. The vibe in the dining room is gorgeous: festive decorations, nice music that isn’t too loud. I LOVE the open kitchen and the chefs looked professional but relaxed and were doing everything with care. Great coffee, inventive menu items. Our waitress (super cool tattoos and piercing but didn’t catch her name!) was fabulous and handled everything seamlessly. One of my top brunches in Bristol (and I brunch a lot so trust me)”

  “Went here as part of the live music package on a Wednesday night. Great ambiance, relaxed vibe, and welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Really good starters -- tasty and had depths of flavours and pleasing textures. The fried chicken was a standout and we couldn't get enough of it. There were a few hits and misses in the mains, steak was superb although it would've been nice if the side salad wasn't too overpowering. The pickled grapes complemented the steak's smoky flavour. But the chicory and parsley salad was, in my opinion, a bit overwhelming, drowning out the grapes' subtle flavour. But apart from that, it was a great experience. Dessert? Oh my, highly recommended!”
